Arkansas Junior Match-Play Championship, Presented by Metro Appliances

Eligibility: Open to all Individual AGSA Junior Program Members. The minimum age is 12 and the maximum is 18, or until the player has entered college, younger participants must be approved by the ASGA. Non-Residents are not eligible, unless they live in a border town and possess a membership at an ASGA Member Club. All eligibility questions should be directed to Tyler Meyl at Tyler@asga.org. 


ENTRY FEE: The entry fee of $140.00 includes Championship golf, range balls, a meal on Monday, June 29th, and registration gift and complimentary drinks and snacks available for competitors.

 

Divisions: Girls 12-18 & Boys 12-18 (120 Player Limit).

 

FORMAT OF PLAY:
• Monday, June 29th – Shotgun stroke-play qualifying beginning at approx. 9A.M., Boys compete for 64-man bracket, Girls compete for 32-women bracket (Only top 64 and 32 players advance). If there is less than a full field, byes will be awarded to the top finishers in the qualifying round. If there is a tie for 64th on the Boys side and/or 32nd on the Girls side, a sudden death playoff will take place to determine bracket play.

 

2025 Girls Junior Match-Play Champion, Ms. Susanna Manns, is exempt from stroke-play qualifying and the automatic #1 seed. 2025 Boys Junior Match-Play Champion, Mr. Henry O’Keefe, is no longer eligible for this event.


• Tuesday, June 30th – Boys Round of 64 (A.M.), Girls Round of 32 (A.M.), Boys Round of 32 (P.M.)


• Wednesday, July 1st – Boys Round of 16 (A.M.), Girls Round of 16 (A.M.), Boys Round of 8 (P.M), Girls Round of 8 (P.M.)


• Thursday, July 2nd – Girls Round of 4 (A.M.), Boys Round of 4 (A.M.), Girls Final Match (P.M.), Boys Finals Match (P.M.)

 

The ASGA reserves the right to adjust the schedule accordingly.

 

YARDAGE:

  • Boys Division will play the course at approximately 6,400 Yards (SCC GOLD TEES)

  • Girls Division will play the course at approximately 5,700 Yards (SCC WHITE TEES)


PRACTICE ROUND: Call the golf shop at Searcy Country Club (501)305-4653 to schedule a practice round on a space available basis leading up to the event. Players are subject to pay a reduced rate in the event they choose to ride. 

 

SPECTATOR CARTS: Will be limited and rented out on a first come, first served basis for a TBD amount. Personal carts will be allowed on property as well, given the limited amount available. 

 


INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY: The ASGA reserves the right to reduce the number holes of the competition, in the event of inclement weather.


TROPHIES: Medalist for both BOYS & GIRLS receives a trophy; Girls Champion receives custody of MaryPerrin Trophy for ensuing year and individual trophy. Runner-up also receives a trophy. Boys Champion receives custody of Fred Gordy Trophy for ensuing year and individual trophy. Runner-up also receives a trophy.

 
CADDIES: Will be allowed beginning with Quarter-Finals – cannot be mother, father or guardian of the player.

 

RESULTS: ALL results will be submitted to Junior Golf Scoreboard (JGS), the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA), and World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) in a timely manner after the completion of the competition. 

 

REFUND POLICY: In the event that you request a refund prior to the registration deadline, you will be refunded the full amount, minus a $25 processing fee.
