Arkansas Junior Amateur Championship

Eligibility: Open to all Individual AGSA Junior Program Members. The minimum age is 12 and the maximum is 18, or until the player has entered college, younger participants must be approved by the ASGA. Non-Residents are not eligible, unless they live in a border town and possess a membership at an ASGA Member Club. All eligibility questions should be directed to Tyler Meyl at Tyler@asga.org. 

 

ENTRY FEE: $225 includes two/three rounds of championship golf, range balls, lunch after two rounds and a registration gift.

 

FORMAT: 18 holes each day – 54 holes total. Approx. half of the field and ties will be CUT after the first two rounds. 

 

Divisions: Girls 12-18, Boys 12-13, & Boys 14-18 (120 Player Limit)

 

YARDAGE:

  •  Boys Ages 12-13 will play the course at approximately 5,600 Yards (SVCC WHITE TEES)

  •  Boys Ages 14-18 will play the course at approximately 6,700 Yards (SVCC BLACK/GOLD TEES)

  • Girls 12-18 will play the course around 5,600 Yards (SVCC WHITE TEES)

 

ENTRIES: Entries must be completed online by 4P.M. on Friday, July 7th, 2025 OR when the field has filled.

 

PRACTICE ROUND: Call the Shadow Valley Country Club Golf Shop at (479)203-0000 to schedule a practice round on a space available basis. Players are subject to pay a cart fee.

 

SPECTATOR CARTS: All carts available will be rented out on a first come, first serve basis at a price TBD.


INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY: The ASGA reserves the right to reduce the number holes of the competition, in the event of inclement weather.


TROPHIES AND AWARDS: The Boy’s medalist ages 14-18 will receive custody of Walter Davis Trophy for ensuing year. The Girl’s medalist ages 12-18 will receive custody of the Lou Miller Trophy for ensuing year. Trophies to winner, runner-up and third place for Boys and Girls 14-18 & Boys 12-13. Ties: for 1st in any division will have an immediate playoff.

 

CADDIES: will not be allowed during this Championship.

 

RESULTS: ALL results will be submitted to Junior Golf Scoreboard (JGS), the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA), and World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) in a timely manner after the completion of the competition. 

 

REFUND POLICY: In the event that you request a refund prior to the registration deadline, you will be refunded the full amount, minus a $25 processing fee.
