Congratulations! Your outstanding play has earned you a spot in the prestigious Arkansas State Golf Association High School Overall Championship on Thursday, October 22nd, at the Pleasant Valley Country Club, just days away from the PGA Tour Champions Event, The Simmons Bank Championship! Only 36 golfers will qualify, as invitations are extended to the top three individuals in each of the 6 classifications: 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, & 6A. 

 

The time is very short between State Championships and the ASGA High School Overall Championship. Please read this and complete online registration no later than the deadline of Monday, October 12th, 2026.

 

Format

 

18 holes of stroke play on Thursday, October 22nd at PVCC, holes 1-18. Players will be paired in groups of three by the finish in your state tournament (i.e., thirds paired together, then seconds, then firsts), with the gentlemen beginning at 8:00 A.M., followed by the ladies at 9:00 A.M.

 

Dress Code

 

For this event will be strictly enforced. All gentlemen MUST wear slacks and collared shirts to compete. Ladies MUST wear pants, shorts, or skirts of appropriate length. All players must carry or push/pull their bag; caddies are not allowed. 

 

Your parents, coaches, professionals, or friends are invited to watch you compete, but they will have to walk. Cart rentals for spectators will not be available; one coach from each school may rent a cart in the golf shop for his/her use only. Please inform your parents/friends, etc. that spectators must follow the PVCC dress code - denim (blue jeans) cannot be worn at PVCC, and all shirts must have collars - no T-shirts. 

 

 

All players must be present for a mandatory players’ meeting and photograph. The boys are scheduled for 7:15 A.M. in front of the scoreboard and the ladies for 8:45 A.M. in front of the PVCC Golf Shop.
 

 

Parking Accommodations

 

Due to the tournament taking place ADVANCE WEEK for the PGA Champions Tour event, parking will be limited. Each participant's name will be given to the Guard Gate that allows one vehicle on Pleasant Valley Property. Upon your arrival, you will be directed to the second tier (second left) and need to park in your labeled spot.

 

All spectators will need to park at First Baptist Church (62 Pleasant Valley Dr., Little Rock, AR 72212) and use the shuttle to arrive at the course. The shuttle service will begin promptly at 6:30 A.M. Please ensure that you utilize the two parking lots closest to Pleasant Valley Drive. 

 

Spectators & Grandstands

 

No spectators, with the exception of the coach, will be allowed to attend the practice rounds, as the shuttle previously mentioned above will not be in place until October 22nd at 6:30 A.M. Please understand that grandstands are still in the construction phase and not open for spectators. Thank you for your cooperation. 

 

Practice Rounds

 

Due to PVCC hosting a PGA Champions Playoff Event the following week, the club has been placed on a restricted round count. As a result, practice rounds are available for PLAYERS ONLY. All coaches have the ability to ride in the cart for a practice round, but do not have the ability to play alongside. Please call the PVCC Golf Shop (501-225-2234) to schedule a practice round tee time. Chris Mayes, PGA, is the Director of Golf. Carts during a practice round are mandated CART PATH ONLY. 

 

If You Play A Practice Round on Wednesday, October 21:

 

Gentlemen, please play the BLUE TEE Markers; ladies, please play the BLACK TEE Markers, and please read the enclosed rules sheet in advance - it may save you a stroke or two - it will also be distributed at the first tee on Thursday!

 

NOTICE: Players desiring to play a practice round other than Wednesday afternoon, October 21st, must make arrangements through the golf shop at PVCC and are required to play with a PV member (guest fees could apply). Practice rounds may be scheduled starting Wednesday, October 14th before 11 A.M. or after 2 P.M.

 

Schedule of Play: 

7:15 A.M. - BOYS mandatory players meeting at the scoreboard for group photo

8:00 A.M. - Boys' first starting time

8:45 A.M. - GIRLS mandatory players meeting in front of the golf shop for group photo

8:50 A.M. - Boys' last starting time

9:30 A.M. - Girls' first starting time

10:20 A.M. - Girls' last starting time

 

Players must putt on the putting green prior to the meeting, but must be present at the 7:15 A.M. (Boys) or 8:45 A.M. (Girls) meeting. Following the meeting, players may return to their warm-up routines. 

 

Players, please check in at first tee 10 minutes prior to your starting time. 

 

Following completion of your round, you must turn in scorecards at the scoreboard. In the event of inclement weather, the ASGA reserves the right to reduce the number of holes. The stipulated round will be two 9-hole rounds. Trophy ceremony at the scoreboard following play - trophies awarded to Champion, Runner-Up, and 3rd Place.

 

Courtesy of Simmons Bank, First and Second place finishers for both divisions will compete alongside each other in the Simmons Bank Championship Pro-Am on Wednesday, October 28th. All ties for First and Second place will be determined through a sudden-death playoff. All Pro-Am information will be communicated prior to Wednesday, October 28th by Simmons Bank Tournament staff.
