111th Arkansas State Amateur Championship

Registration for both qualifiers for the 111th Arkansas State Amateur Championship will open on February 23rd at 12:00 pm and will remain open through May 31st at 4 pm CST. 

  • Important Note: Players may only register for one qualifier.

Men's Eligibility

  • Open to male and female amateur golfers who are individual members of the Arkansas State Golf Association (ASGA).

  • Non-residents are not eligible, except individuals residing in Texarkana, Texas, who must be a member of Texarkana C.C. and an individual ASGA member.

  • Men's & Women's Championships will be conducted simultaneously.

  • USGA handicap index of 7.0 or less. All players must meet all requirements by Sunday, May 31, 2026.

 

Women’s Eligibility

 

The Arkansas Women’s State Amateur Championship is open to all female golfers who meet the following eligibility criteria:

 

  • Field is limited to 30 participants

  • Must be a resident of the state of Arkansas and have an active GHIN Handicap through an ASGA Member or E-Club.

  • Student-athletes who are currently enrolled at an in-state university are also eligible to compete, regardless of permanent residency.

Entry Information

  • Entry Fee:

    • $300 for exempt players

    • $180 for successful qualifiers

      • $120 to play in qualifier

  • Deadline: 

    • Deadline for exempt players May 27th at 4pm Central Time.

    • Deadline for Qualifying Registration. May 31st at 4pm Central Time

    • Women's Deadline for Registration. May 31st. at 4pm Central Time

Championship Format 

  • The Arkansas State Amateur is a three-round stroke play championship. After the completion of Round 2, a cut will be made, reducing the field to the top 50 percent of competitors. In the event of inclement weather, the ASGA reserves the right to shorten the championship to 36 holes.

Schedule of Events 

  • Thursday, June 11 – Round 1

  • Friday, June 12 – Round 2

  • Saturday, June 13 – Final round 

Caddies & Spectators

  • The One Seat rule will be in effect for this tournament. Either the player or their caddie can ride in a golf cart, but not both at the same time. 

  • Cart accommodation requests will not be permitted.

  • There will be no spectator carts available for rent.  

Trophies & Awards

  • Champions & runners-up (Men’s & Women’s Divisions) will receive individual trophies.

  • Pro Shop Gift Certificates will be awarded to low finishers in each division.

  • Tiebreaker: 1st place ties will be decided by a playoff; all other ties will be split.

 

Exemptions

  • State Am. Qualifier #1 (Central) will have 1st and 3rd alternates. State Am. Qualifier #2 (NWA) will have 2nd and 4th alternates.

 

Men’s Exemptions:

Players meeting the following criteria are exempt from qualifying:

  • 2025 State Amateur top 30

  • 2025 Top 3 Jr Amateur

  • 2025 ASGA Mid Amateur Championship Top 10

  • 2025 ASGA Senior Amateur Championship Top 3

  • 2025 ASGA Match Play Top 4

  • Past State Amateur Champs under 60

  • Top 10 on the Simmons Bank Points List Men 2026

  • Top 2 Mid Amateur Points list 2026

  • Top 2 Senior Amateur Points List 2026

  • 3 Host Club Exemptions

  • Top 1250 WAGR

  • 2025-26 Designated Champions

    • 2025 NWA Stoke Champion

    • 2025 Sherwood Amateur Champion

    • 2025 Maumelle Classic Champion

    • 2025 Arkansas Open Champion

    • 2026 Wrights BBQ Shootout Champion

    • 2026 Hot Springs Classic Champion

  • ASGA Special Exemption (This is reserved only for extenuating circumstances) Not used unless the committee agrees on an individual who applies for the spot.

 

Women’s Exemptions:

The players who fall in the categories below are entitled a spot in the field up to the registration deadline

 Refund Policy 

  • Participants who withdraw before the registration deadline will receive a full refund, minus a $25 processing fee. No refunds will be issued after the registration deadline.
