Competition Formats

 

 

9 Hole Morning Round:

 

 

This event will be played as a Greensomes pairs competition.

 

Both players in each pair will tee off on every hole. The team will then select the better of the two tee shots, and from that point players will play alternate shots with one ball until the hole is completed. The player whose tee shot is not selected will play the next shot.

This process is repeated on each hole.

 

Handicap Allowance:
The team handicap will be calculated as 60% of the lower handicap plus 40% of the higher handicap.

 

 

18 Hole Afternoon Competition:

 

 

This event will be played as an individual 18-hole Stableford competition.

 

Players will play their own ball throughout the round. Stableford points will be awarded on each hole in accordance with the Rules of Golf, based on net score relative to par.

The player with the highest total Stableford points over 18 holes will be declared the winner.

 

Handicap Allowance:
95% handicap allowance applies.

 

Each player will have entered one regional competition prior to arrival on the day. Players will also be entered automatically into:
 

The TTJ Trophy (overall stableford competition)
The Mallinson Cup (best scratch score)
 

If applicable, players will also be entered automatically into:

 

The Home Grown Trade Trophy

The Ladies Trophy

The Veterans Trophy
