Since 1895, Pinehurst and Championship Golf have been synonymous. Pinehurst held its first marquee event in 1902, The North South Amateur, today a staple in competitive amateur golf. Subsequently Pinehurst has had the privilege to host the PGA Championship (1936), US Amateur (1962, 2008, and 2019), Ryder Cup (1951), Men’s US Open (1999, 2004, and 2014), US Senior Open (1994), and the Women’s US Open (2014). More recently, it has been names one of the USGA's "anchor sites" for Future USGA Championships. Now, you will have the opportunity to play where the greats have played.
This event is only open to Signature Members and their Guest. Guest may not be a Member of any kind at Pinehurst Country Club.
Members must submit their guest's correct and active GHIN Number at registration in order to enter this event.
ENTRY FEE - $1,100 per team
Includes awards, tee prizes, on course contest prizes, Welcome Reception, Awards Luncheon. (Additional green fees may apply based on your membership category).
HANDICAP INFORMATION
The tournament committee will verify indexes for Signature Members & Guests with GHIN posting numbers. Guests who do not have a GHIN number will be required to submit their USGA Handicap Index, name of golf club and phone number of club professional who can certify the golfer’s May 1st handicap index. (Handicaps used for the event will be current handicap index as of May 20). A contestant belonging to more than one club with different USGA indexes at each club must use the lower index. Penalty for any index violations will be disqualification.
APPLICATION PRIORITY SYSTEM: Registration will open February 20th and close on March 2nd
In the event entries exceed a Full Field (54 Teams) applications will be accepted using the following priority system with a “First come first serve” order.
1. First Priority – Signature Full Members Who Competed in The Tufts 2025.
2. Second Priority- All Signature Full Members on The Tufts 2025 Waitlist.
3. Third Priority- All other Signature Full Members who are not in First or Second Priority.
- Members in Third Priority will be accepted by date of entry (Earlier entries accepted over later entries).
FIELD SIZE
The field will be limited to the first 54 teams registered for the event.
Format: Better ball of partners. Five nine-hole matches, flighted by handicap. Matches will be played at 90% handicap. The strokes are based off the low player in each group.

Flight 1 &2- White Tees at No. 7
Flight 3-5- Fairwood Tees at No. 7
Flight 6-9- Green Tees at No. 7

9:00am to 2:15pm - Optional Practice Round at No. 7 (registration for practice round opens Monday, 5/11.)
***Email will be sent to all participants at the close of registration on how to register for Practice Round Tee Times.
5:30pm to 8:00pm - Welcome reception for Participants Only
Thursday, May 28th at No. 7
6:45am to 8:00am- Breakfast
8:00am- Shotgun Start- Match 1 & 2
12:30pm to 3:30pm- Drinks and lunch on the Patio following play
Friday, May 29th at No. 7
7:30am to 8:30am- Breakfast
8:30am- Shotgun Start- Match 3 & 4
12:30pm to 3:30pm- Lunch following play
Saturday, May 30th at No. 7
7:30am to 8:30am- Breakfast
8:30am- Shotgun Start- Match 5 & Shoot-Out
12:30pm to 3:30pm- Lunch and awards following play.
- Bloody Mary Bar will be staged following play and before the shootout.
DEADLINE
The application deadline is March 2nd. Registration will be available online beginning Friday, February 20th at 8:00 am, 2026.
CANCELLATIONS
Entry fees for any cancellations or withdrawals after May 22nd, which cannot be filled from the Wait List, will be forfeited. Any refunds, that may be provided for extenuating circumstances and will be handled by the tournament committee on a case by case basis.
Please keep in mind that this is a Championship event; play will only be suspended if the course is deemed unplayable or closed.
