Additional Information and Terms of the Competition

 

This event is designed for West Virginia Professionals to compete against some of the states best Amateurs. The Tri State PGA and WVGA will co-run this year's Championship to be held at Guyan Golf & Country Club in Huntington.

There will be a minimum $4,000 purse for the event.

Professionals can earn their way into the WV Open if not otherwise exempt.

Amateurs will play for Gift Certificates, as well as WVGA Player of the Year points. The top 10 finishing Amateurs will receive POY Points. (See POY points table)

 

Entry Fee: $175 per player. Included carts and golf for both rounds. 

Food and Beverage: Small reception following round 1 included in entry

 

Eligibility

 

Open to PGA Members who live or work in West Virginia. *Must be current active member of the program*

Open to any Regular member of the WVGA who is an Amateur.

WVOPEN Exemptions Based Off Of Finish in the TRI STATE WV CLASSIC AS FOLLOWS:

 

The Top Six (6) professionals who are not otherwise exempt into the 2026 WV Open, will receive a special exemption.

 

Info on exemptions into WV Open and Amateur for Amateurs:

The top three (3) Amateurs who are not otherwise exempt into the 2026 WV Amateur and WV Open will receive exemptions into both.
