Since 1895, Pinehurst and Championship Golf have been synonymous.  Pinehurst held its first marquee event in 1902, The North South Amateur, today a staple in competitive amateur golf. Subsequently Pinehurst has had the privilege to host the PGA Championship (1936), US Amateur (1962, 2008, & 2019), Men's U.S Four-Ball (2017), Men’s US Open (1999, 2004, 2014, 2024) and the Women’s US Open (2014).

 

 

Entry Fee-$TBD per couple

Includes all of the events and prizes. Prizes will be awarded for overall low gross, overall low net, low gross in flight, low net in flight.  Entry fees will be charged to each team member’s PCC account on November 14th. (Additional green fees may apply based on your membership category).

Schedule of Events

Saturday, November 14th - Course No. 7 - 8:30 Shotgun
Sunday, November 15th - Course No. 9 - 8:30 Shotgun

Awards Luncheon will immediately follow play at No. 9

Entries will be accepted on first-in basis. The application deadline is November 6th at 5:00pm. Each registered team must have a GHIN# associated with Pinehurst in order to participate in this event.

 

Format

Round 1 - 2 Best Ball of 4: 1 Best Ball from each gender

Round 2 - Holes 1-6: 2 Best Ball, (1 from each Couple), Holes 7-12: 2 Best Ball (1 from each Gender), Holes 13-18: 2 Best Ball (1 from each Scotch Couple).

 


Tees
Men will play from GREEN TEES Course No. 7/NATIONAL TEES Course No. 9 (5,800yds)
Women will play from RED tees (4,900yds)

Handicaps

Teams will be flighted according to their combined handicaps using current indexes. Players will receive 85% of their course handicap. Maximum strokes awarded after adjustment will be 36.

 

Please keep in mind that this is a Championship event; play will only be suspended if the course is deemed unplayable or closed.  Should you feel the need to withdraw the day of the event, please notify the Golf Professional Staff.
