**In order to register for Men's League, you will need to sign in by clicking on the sign in button in the top right of your screen. Once you click sign in, you will be prompted to use a GGID code or a username and password. Please use the GGID code we have provided in the banner above.**

 

Men's Twilight League in 2019 will look very similar to 2018, but with a few changes to help pace of play. Below is the format of the league in 2019, along with notable changes that you will want to make sure you take notice of.

 

 

2019 Men's Twilight League Format:

 

1. You will play in 2v2, best ball match play rounds each week starting @ 5:00pm each Tuesday night. 
2. Teams with be flighted based on the overall combined handicap for the team and each week you will play a different team from within your flight. We are hoping to have 6 teams/flight so that each team will get a chance to play every team in their flight twice in the regular season.
3. If you or your partner are unable to make a week, it is your responsibility to find a sub. If you are having difficulties finding a willing sub, then the pro shop may be able to assist you in your search. However, we should not be the first place that you look when you need a sub. 
4. The teams that make the playoffs will be the first and second overall point winners from each flight. 
5. First half and second half winners will receive a payout for their great play, however, unlike last year, this will not help get them into the playoffs. Only the top two overall point winners from each flight are guaranteed a spot in the playoffs. This means that we have eliminated the Flight Playoffs round and will instead jump right into the playoffs and cess pool at the conclusion of the regular season. 
6. The cess pool will be run as weekly tournaments instead of a 4-round event. See #4 below for reasoning.
7. Finally, you may sign up as an individual or as a pair of 2. If you sign up individually, the pro shop will pair you with someone that is similar to your own handicap.

 

Notable Changes:

 

1. The start time is moving from 5:30pm to 5:00pm each week. For those that played last year, it was a race almost every week to beat the darkness and our hope is to avoid that this year. 
2. The scoring will take the highest point totals over the course of the 10 week regular season, rather than spliting it between the first half winners and the second half winners. Now, you will have to play well for the entire regular season in order to secure your spot in the playoffs. 
3. The playoffs will take 16 teams instead of 12 and there will be no byes for the teams that finished with the most overall points for the league. The top 2 teams from each flight will make up the playoff field.  
4. The Cess Pool will be run as 4 individual tournaments, rather than a 4-round combined tournament. This is to allow teams eliminated from the playoffs to join in on the action each week.
5. We will be increasing the spots in league this year to the first 96 players, or 48 teams. This is to make sure that we keep flights of 6 teams. We will also be utilizing the entire golf course by having 4 flights/9 holes. This is another way to help speed up the pace of play. 

 

Weekly standings and action results will be posted on the website so that everyone can see where they stand. We will also be using live scoring on the golf course during each round. It will not be required but greatly encouraged. With this feature, you will be able to see how your match stands, as well as how the other matches around the golf course stand. To do live scoring, you will need to download the Golf Genius app off of the app store. Each week we will provide you with a code to access the live scoring, so you will not be required to create a user name and password once in the app. Just download the app and wait for league to start!
