120th Utah Women's State Amateur Championship

ENTRY FEE

$270 per player. 

  • $150 for qualifying round (This fee now includes a practice round; players will still pay for a cart fee on site)
  • $120 to advance to match play.

Players will be automatically charged following the stroke play qualifying round, and no further action from the players will be required.

FORMAT

18-hole stroke play qualifying to determine the low 32 players who will advance to match play.

ELIGIBILITY

All amateur UGA members that have a 14.9 handicap index or less as of the registration deadline with the assigned sex of female at birth who have an active USGA Handicap Index are eligible to compete in this championship.  For any player wishing to compete in a gender competition classification that is different than their sex assigned at birth or for any player who has transitioned or is currently transitioning to a gender that is different than their sex assigned at birth, in addition to completing this registration you will also need to follow the processes outlined in the UGA Competitive Fairness Gender Policy and comply with all eligibility requirements therein.  

 

STARTING TIMES

Starting times will be e-mailed to players after the registration deadline has passed.

 

CARTS

Competitors may ride in a cart but there will be a strict two cart per group policy. Players should plan to combine into two carts when you arrive on the first tee.

 

*Spectator Carts will not be permitted under any circumstance for the first two days of the championship. Shuttles will be provided to and from viewing areas to accommodate.*

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS

      • Practice rounds are to be scheduled Sunday-Thursday not before 2 pm before the event. Please call the Oakridge Golf Shop at 801 451 2229. Please be ready to cite your name, preferred day and time and the rest of the players in your group.
      • Caddies and other support are not permitted in practice rounds. Tournament players will be paired by Oakridge Staff who take the bookings. Players are welcome to register for their practice rounds as a group.
    • Conditions (dress code, pace of play)
      • Pace of Play - 3 hours 45 minutes for 18 holes
      • Dress Code at Oakridge for Women and Girls:
        • When golfing, ladies’ attire must conform with current fashion or LPGA standards,
        • Appropriate Shirt or Blouse.
          • Shirts without sleeves must have a collar.
          • Shirts without a collar must have sleeves.
        • Skirts, Skorts and shorts must be no more than 5” above the top of the knee.
        • Tank Tops, Halter Tops, and Racerback shirts are unacceptable.
        • Yoga/exercise/spandex style pants are only acceptable when worn with a skort or skirt.
        • Tastefully Tailored Slacks, Walking Shorts, or Other Shorts with an inseam of six inches in length. 
        • Denim, of any color, is not allowed on the golf course, but is allowed in the clubhouse for all dining and social activities.
        • Cutoffs, Bib Overalls, torn/tattered denim clothing is unacceptable.
        • Swimsuits, Jogging Shorts, Tennis Pants, Sweatpants, Shorts with an inseam less than six inches are unacceptable.

Specifically excluded from the golf course are halter tops, tank tops, cut offs, gym shorts, swimsuits, jogging shorts, tennis pants and similar attire.  Denim jeans, of any color, will not be allowed on the golf course.  

          • No Metal Spikes allowed. 
          • Hats/Caps May Not Be Worn Backwards.

      • Please check in at the golf shop within 15 minutes of your starting time. Players may arrive up to 1 hour before their scheduled starting time to warm up on range, putting green, chipping/pitching areas. Players can purchase food and beverage at the snack bar located near the 10th tee with cash or credit cards.

REFUNDS & WITHDRAWALS 

If a player withdrawals prior to the registration deadline the player will receive a refund minus a $20 cancellation fee.  After the deadline, the player will receive a 50% refund.  Beginning the day before the event, no refunds will be issued if a player withdraws or no shows (For Example, if an event begins on Monday, any withdrawal starting on Sunday will result in no refund). A business day starts at 12:01 am of that day.   In team competitions, if a player needs a substitute for his original partner after the field has closed; he must arrange to get the substitute. Any substitute must meet all eligibility requirements of the specified competition. The UGA must be notified of any substitutions prior to the start of the tournament.
