Schedule:

 

Stroke Play

Monday August 10th & Tuesday August 11th – Stroke Play (18-holes/day)

  • The low 32 players will qualify for match play beginning on August 12th
  • Any ties for the final Match Play qualifying place(s) will be determined by a hole-by-hole playoff, if needed on August 11th.
  • NEW IN 2025: The stroke play medalist – after 36-holes of stroke play will be considered the winner of the Osgood Memorial Cup (ties will not be broken).

 

Match Play

Wednesday August 12th – Round of 32 (a.m.) and Round of 16 (p.m.)

Thursday August 13th – Quarterfinals (a.m.) and Semifinals (p.m.)

Friday August 14th – Finals (18-holes)

 

Rules of Play: The 2023 Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the Mass Golf Hard Card. The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the Championship sites. It is the individual player’s responsibility to know the Terms of the Competition.

Golf Carts, Caddies and Pull Carts: Players may use caddies and/or pull/push carts during the Championship Proper. The use of automotive transportation is NOT permitted. 

 

Starting Times (Stroke Play & Match Play): Can be found on the Massachusetts Women's Amateur home page. Please make sure to be at the 1st tee at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time to ensure that all proper instructions are received from the starter.

 

Practice Facilities: The practice range/putting greens/chipping area at Oak Hill Country Club will be open one hour before the first scheduled starting time.

 

Practice Round: Please read carefully below the instructions for practice rounds. 

 

  • Availability – Based on club availability.
  • Please call the pro shop at 978-342-0237.
  • There will be a $40 mandatory cart/trail fee per player. 
  • Competitors are limited to one practice round. 
  • Outside caddies are permitted for practice rounds, (caddying only and not playing).
  • Approximate yardage guide can be found HERE.
  • For competitors unable to take advantage of a practice round date or wanting to preview the course just ahead of the championship, competitors/caddies may WALK (no clubs) the course on Sunday, August 9th after 4:00pm.
  • The practice putting green/chipping green will be available for competitors after 4:00pm on Sunday, August 9th. The practice range will be unavailable on Sunday, August 9th.

 Food & Beverage Services:

  • Lunch will be provided by Mass Golf for all competitors from approx. 11:00am to 3:30pm, on Monday, August 10th.
  • Additional food and beverage services (including bar service) will be available at the players expense throughout the week. Spectators and caddies may also purchase lunch.
  • Lunch on Tuesday, August 11th is at the player's expense.
  • Lunch for competitors & caddies will be provided by Mass Golf throughout match play on Wednesday - Friday.
  • Breakfast services for competitors will not be available.

 

On-Course Restroom Facilities: Available at Clubhouse/Snack Bar & Holes 15/17.

 

Prizes: Stroke Play Medalist - Osgood Memorial Cup | Amateur Champion - Championship Bowl | Amateur Finalist - Curtis Memorial Trophy | Merchandise certificates will be awarded and are only redeemable at the host site.

 

2027 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship Exemption:

  • The winner of the 2026 Massachusetts Women's Amateur Championship will be exempt into the 2027 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship at Pinehurst #2 (if eligible).
