This correspondence will verify your entry into the U.S. Girls’ Junior Sectional Qualifying at Lake Forest GC on Friday, June 21, 2019.

 

*Parents, step-parents, or guardians CANNOT be caddies for their own daughter. 

 

 

You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter.

 

GROOVE CONDITION OF COMPETITION: The player’s clubs must conform to the groove and punch mark specifications in the Rules of Golf that are effective from January 1, 2010.

 

QUALIFIER DATE: Friday, June 21st

 

DIRECTIONS: Take I-94 exit 175 to Ann Arbor/Saline Road. Head south. Turn right onto Ellsworth Road. The course is located on the right side of the road.

GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In Sectional qualifying and in the Championship proper, a player may obtain distance information by use of a distance-measuring device. If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., elevation changes, wind speed, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3.

 

FOOD:  The clubhouse will have food available for purchase.

 

CADDIES/CARTS: All players are required to walk. Contestants may carry their own bag or bring their own caddie. Caddies must also walk. Parents, step-parents, or guardians CANNOT be caddies for their own child. Pull carts may be used at Lake Forest GC. Spectator carts are only permitted if a request, accompanied by a doctor’s note confirming the spectator’s need for a cart, is submitted to the GAM at least two days prior to the competition. PRACTICE RANGE: Complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only.  Open one hour before the first tee time.

 

PLAYOFF:  In case of ties, there will be a sudden-victory playoff immediately following play for the final spot as well as the order for the two (2) alternate positions

WITHDRAWAL:  If you must withdraw, please contact the USGA at (908) 234-2300 leading up to the tournament. If you have to withdraw the night or weekend before then please contact the GAM office tournamententry@gam.org. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future USGA and GAM competitions.
