Registration Information
Eligibility: Open to all active CGA Members. Players entering the championship through a qualifying round must have a handicap index of 3.0 or lower at the time of registration. Registration Opens: Exempt players may register for the championship on March 16, 2026 at 08:00am Registration Deadline: Tuesday, June 09, 2026 at 05:00 PM Entry Fee: $325.00 for exempt players into the championship. Qualifying fees will be $110.00 per player with an additional $215.00 for successful qualifiers. Field Size: Maximum of 84 players based on exemptions and successful qualifiers. Exempt Players: Players who are exempt from qualifying are listed on the exemption list under the "Tournament Information" tab. Qualifying: Players that are not exempt into the championship must qualify at 1 of 6 qualifiers. Players are permitted only one qualifying attempt per championship.

Tournament Information
Format: 72 holes of stroke play. A 36-hole cut will be made to the low 40 players and ties. Championship Schedule: Monday (8/3): 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. off holes #1 and #10 Tuesday (8/4): 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. off holes #1 and #10 Wednesday (8/5): 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. off hole #1 only. Thursday (8/6): 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. off hole #1 only. Walking Only Event: The CGA Amateur Championship is a walking only event (Model Local Rule G-6 in effect). Players may carry their bag, bring a caddie or use a push cart. Caddies may also use push carts. Driving Range: The driving range will be available by 6:30 a.m. each morning at no additional cost to the player. Player Food: Food and Beverage available for purchase at the Sonnenalp Club's Food Truck starting in the morning. Strackaline Books: All championship players will be provided with a yardage book from Strackaline. Practice Round Information: Practice rounds are available from July 27, 2026 - August 2nd, 2026 after 1:30pm each day at a rate of $130. Practice Round Reservations may be made seven (7) days in advance by calling the golf shop and identifying yourself as a participant in the championship. Score Posting: Scores from each round will be posted to GHIN at the conclusion of each round. USGA Exemption Event: The following exemptions will be awarded based off of performance in the 90th CGA Amateur Championship: Champion: Fully exempt into 2027 U.S. Amateur Championship Runner Up: Exempt from Local Qualifying for the 2027 U.S. Amateur Championship
