The Community Adaptive Golf Clinic is part of our kick-off to our historic weekend where we are hosting the Minnesota Adaptive Open at Braemar Golf Course! Come out and join us as we will have Braemar, MGA, and Courage Kenny staff/volunteers assisting. We also plan to have some of the players that will be playing in the Minnesota Adaptive Open assisting as well!

Courage Kenny (CKRI) and the Minnesota Golf Association (MGA) are partnered to host beginner and intermediate adaptive golf clinics designed for individuals with cognitive disabilities, physical disabilities, and visual impairments. Whether you are new to golf or looking to return to the sport after on-site disability, these clinics provide a welcoming environment to learn and practice essential golfing skills.

 

Golfers will work one-on-one with a volunteer who will provide personalized instruction and support as you learn to game. During the clinic, golfers will access the putting green, driving range, and a birdie course- small 9 hole beginner course. Beginner clinics are designated to the driving range and practice areas, while the intermediate clinics will have participants playing holes on the birdie course - small 9 hole beginner course.

 

Participants will have access to snacks and beverages, golf clubs, as well as adaptive carts if needed.

Eligibility: Open to players in one or more of the following impairment categories.

 

  • Leg Impairment
  • Arm Impairment
  • Multi-Limb Impairment
  • Neurological Impairment
  • Seated Players
  • Visual Impairment
  • Short Stature
  • Intellectual Impairment

 

 

Solo Rider/VertaCat: Solo Rider's and VertaCat's will be available upon request. Be sure to check the box upon registration for which mobility device you need, if needed.
