Player Information Sheet

 

Format: 54 holes, stroke play (18-holes per day), 144 +/- players, comprised of qualified and those exempt from qualifying. The fifty (50) lowest scorers & ties or anyone within 7 strokes of the leader after 36-holes will continue play on June 11th.

 

Rules of Play: The 2023 Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the Mass Golf Hard Card. The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the Championship sites. It is the individual player’s responsibility to know the Terms of the Competition.

Golf Carts, Caddies and Pull Carts: Players may use caddies and/or pull/push carts during the Championship Proper. The use of automotive transportation is NOT permitted. Any competitors interested in securing an Oyster Harbors Club caddie should contact Tanner Bouchard by email at (tannerbouchard@oysterharborsclub.org). Caddies will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis; $150/day (tip included).

 

Starting Times – Rounds 1, 2 & 3: Can be found HERE. Please make sure to be at your starting tee at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time to ensure that all proper instructions are received from the starter.

 

Practice Areas: The following practice areas will be available;

 

Practice Range & Putting Green

 

The practice range and putting green will be open each championship day at 6:15am and will close at 6:30pm.

  • The practice range and putting green will be available for competitors from 2:00-5:00pm on Monday, June 8th.

 

Short Game Area

 

The short game area will be open each championship day at 6:15am and will close at 6:30pm.

  • The short game area will be available for competitors from 2:00-5:00pm on Monday, June 8th.

 

The short game area will be limited to bunker play and putting; please obey any posted signage and/or roped of areas.

 

Tees/Approximate Yardage: The championship will be played at approx. 6,900 yards (Black Tees).

 

Food & Beverage: Will be available for purchase throughout the event in the clubhouse.

  • All payments for food & beverage will be CASH ONLY.
  • Limited breakfast service will be available each day starting at 6:00am.
  • Lunch service will be available each day from 11:00am - 5:00pm.
    • Bar service will be available each day from 10:00am - 8:00pm.

 

Locker Room: The locker room facilities will be open/available for all competitors; no individual locker space will be available.

 

Arriving to and Parking at Oyster Harbors:

  • To assist with parking availability, please plan accordingly with caddies, friends, family, etc. and carpool if possible.
  • All competitors and people attending the championship will need to check-in at the gatehouse. Please be patient and plan accordingly for gatehouse check-in and possible traffic stoppage due to the drawbridge.
  • Upon arriving to the club, please obey any posted signage regarding parking as well as any instructions from parking attendants.
  • Day of updates regarding parking and other arrival details will be sent via text message to the field. 

 

Purse/Prizes: The Clarence G. Cochrane Memorial Trophy will be presented to the Champion and The Commonwealth Cup will be presented to the Low-Amateur. A professional purse of $75,000 will be distributed to the low fifty (50) finishers & ties. Merchandise certificates will be awarded to amateur finishers and are only redeemable at the host site.
