Maximum Score Format:
This season, the OGA Tour will implement Rule 21.2 – Maximum Score as part of the scoring format. The maximum score on any hole will be 10 strokes (gross). This change will not affect scoring for the Partner Series (Four-Ball) or the method used to determine gross and net winners. Instead, this format allows players who reach a gross score of 10 on a hole to pick up, and it ensures that players who do not record a score on a hole due to a penalty under another Rule (such as Rules 3.2, 6.3, 14.7, or 22.3) will receive a score of 10 for that hole. For Pace of Play reasons, players are asked to pick up once max score on a hole is reached. Players who fail to pick up once max score is reached and subsequently fail to meet the OGA Tour pace of play guidelines are liable for penalty.
