Rules are governed by the Rules of Golf, the MGA Conditions of Competition, Notice to Competitors, Pace of Play and the following local rules. Disregard all local rules printed on the local scorecard.
PACE OF PLAY/UNREASONABLE DELAY (RULE 5.6): Players are expected to play without delay, and groups are expected to remain in position with the group immediately in front of it. Timing sheets for each round showing the time by when each hole must be completed are posted on the Championship Golf Genius portal. Groups who fall out of position are subject to monitoring and timing by a Rules official. Players are expected to play a stroke within 40 seconds of when it is their time to play. Players who receive a bad time will be warned. Players who receive multiple bad times are subject to penalty. The expected pace of play at Fox Hollow is 4:24 for 18 holes. Penalty for Breach of Rule 5.6a: First breach: Warning; Second breach: One penalty stroke; Third breach: Two penalty strokes; Fourth breach: DISQUALIFICATION.
ELECTRONIC MEASURING DEVICES: These devices, whether rangefinders, GPS or apps, are permitted as long as they are used to measure distance only. Any additional functionality that will measure anything other than distance must be disabled.
ABNORMAL COURSE CONDITIONS:
- All cultivated flower and shrubbery beds are NO PLAY ZONES. Proceed with relief under rule 16.1f
- French drains and Irrigation line areas
OBSTRUCTIONS: When artificially surfaced areas touch or encircle an obstruction or area of Ground Under Repair (GUR), they may be treated as one obstruction. Rocks adjacent/lining cart paths are considered part of the cart path. This includes worn areas adjacent to or extending from the path.
ELEVATED POWER LINES: If a ball strikes an elevated power line on hole #18, the stroke must be canceled and replayed, without penalty (see Model Local Rule E-11). The poles on the right side of hole #18 are considered an integral object—No Relief.
OUT OF BOUNDS: Defined by WHITE stakes or lines, property fences and the inside edge of pavement on County Road 241, entrance road, and parking lots. A ball going out of bounds and coming to rest on another part of the course remains out of bounds.
PENALTY AREAS: When both lines and stakes are used to define penalty areas, stakes identify, and lines define the penalty area.
DROPPING ZONE: Hole #3 has a drop zone option in the front of the hole by the bunker for a ball in the Penalty Area.
RULES COMMITTEE: Holly Noble, Bill Homeyer, Lisa Overom
