FORMAT

  • 36-hole, four-ball, stroke play
  • The Champions will be the team who has the lowest 36-hole total from the Championship Flight
  • In the event of a tie for the Championship, there will be a hole-by-hole playoff immediately following play
  • Flights will be determined after registration has closed (if registration numbers are large enough to warrant flights)
    • A team will be assigned to a flight based on the lower Handicap Index at the deadline of the two team members
    • A flight report will be published after flights have been established
    • The number of flights will be determined based on the final number of teams entered
    • If there aren't enough teams for flights, we will place everybody into the Championship Flight and add a net champion for the event

 

ENTRY FEE

  • $300/team (walking)
  • $400/team (riding, includes $100/team cart for both days)
  • The use of a golf cart is permitted for this event
    • Carts may be prepaid online at the time of registration
    • If not prepaid, the fee may be paid on-site each day of the tournament

 

REGISTRATION 

  • Registration opens Monday, March 2, 2025, at 8:30 a.m.  
  • Deadline is Monday, July 13, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
  • Entries are open to the first 52 teams, including the defending champions
  • After entries are filled, a waitlist will be established

 

ELIGIBILITY

Entry is open to any female amateur golfer:
(1) Who is an MGA Associate Member and
(2) Whose Minnesota Handicap Index® is active at the time of entry and
(3) Whose Minnesota Handicap Index® is active effective the first day of competition

  • An entry may be rejected at the discretion of the Committee at any time, including after the competition has closed.

 

      NOTE: For eligibility purposes, an MGA Associate Member through the MGA Join On-Line (JOL) program must have a Minnesota connection in addition to JOL membership to participate. Examples of connections would be a MN resident (permanent or seasonal), a non-resident student at a MN school, and/or a MGA course connection, validated by a course employee and/or score posting record. The Committee's decision on such a connection and eligibility is final.   

 

ANTICIPATED STARTING TIMES

  • Day 1: Starting times around 12:00 p.m. off #1
    • Round 1 starting times will be created after registration has closed
  • Day 2: Starting times around 8:00 a.m. off #1
    • Lunch will be provided following your round on Day 2

 

EXPECTED CHAMPIONSHIP SITE SETUP

  • Championship Flight - Length: around 5,800-6,000 yards | Par: 72 | Ratings: TBD
  • Other Flights - Length: 5,303 yards | Par: 72 | Ratings: 72.9/125

RULES AND INFORMATION

  • The Rules of Golf, the MGA Terms of Competition (MGA Hard Card), and all Local Rules established specifically for the Championship will be in effect. Local Rules for this event will be available under the Course Details tab

 

DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES

  • Players are permitted to use distance-measuring devices that measure distance only
  • The slope function must be disabled

 

PACE OF PLAY / PLAYER CONDUCT / DRESS CODE

  • Please refer to Resources tab for Pace of Play, Player Conduct and Dress Code policies.

 

CADDIE POLICY 

  • Players may use a Caddie unless prohibited or restricted by a Local Rule
  • A player is responsible for the behavior and attire of their caddie

 

DIGITAL SCORING

  • Scoring will be done via the Golf Genius App
  • Players should have the app downloaded on their phones and be prepared to keep score
  • The player GGID will be sent via text and email to all players the night before each round using the cell phone number and email in their profile
  • If you are not receiving text messages, please follow these steps:
  1. Email the tournament administrator to have them check that your phone number is correct in our system
  2. If the phone number is correct, it is likely that you have "opted-out" from receiving text messages from Golf Genius and will need to resubscribe
  3. To resubscribe, ask your tournament administrator directly or you can send a text message to the below phone numbers (please include both) with the message "START"

PRACTICE ROUNDS

  • Practice rounds will be available at the players' expense and the fee may be dependent upon the day and time you play

CANCELATIONS & REFUNDS

  • To withdraw for any reason before the deadline of an MGA competition, a player may withdraw through Golf Genius or by notifying the MGA in writing
  • To withdraw for any reason after the deadline but before the start of competition, a player must notify the MGA in writing
  • Refund Policy:
    • Cancelation on or before the entry closing date: Full refund
    • Cancelation after the entry closing date and up to ONE (1) day before the first day of your competition: Full refund less a $25 administrative fee
    • Cancelation on the day of the competition or later: No refund
