TERMS OF THE COMPETITION
ELIGIBILITY

SDGA Membership/Residency: This tournament is open to male amateur golfers who are either SDGA members or residents ($80 entry fee). The tournament is also open to all individuals who reside of one of the following counties, but do not have an active handicap index ($90): Onondaga, Cortland, Cayuga, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oswego, Oneida, Seneca, St. Lawrence, Tompkins, and Wayne County east of Route 14.

Age: Players must be at least 65 years old as of September 8, 2026.
ENTRIES, DEADLINE, AND REFUND POLICY

Entries: An entry must be submitted online with payment prior to the deadline. Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.

Entry Fee: $80 for SDGA Members (see above) or $90 for non-SDGA Members. This includes two rounds with golf, cart, lunch both days, prizes, and awards.

Deadline: Entries must be received prior to the deadline (12PM EST on Thursday, September 3, 2026). Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.

Refund Policy:

Withdrawal PRIOR TO entry deadline: Entry fee less $20

Withdrawal AFTER entry deadline: Entry fee less $50

Withdrawal WITHIN 2 DAYS of the competition: No Refund

FIELD SIZE AND WAIT LIST
The field is limited to the first 96 players to apply. After the field limit is reached, players will be placed on a wait list in order by their time of registration.
FORMAT AND AGE DIVISIONS
The format is 36 holes at stroke play (no cut). Players will compete for the overall championship and the following age divisions: 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85+.
TIES
Ties for the overall champion and runner-up will be decided by sudden-death playoff (starting hole TBD). All ties in age groups will be broken utilizing the USGA recommended method of matching scorecards.
TEES BY AGE DIVISION
White Tees (~6,000 yards) - 65-69, 70-74 age divisions
Gold Tees (~5,500 yards) - 75-79, 80-84, 85+ age divisions
Note: Players wishing to compete for the overall Championship must play from the White tees. Players in the 75-79, 80-84, 85+ age divisions by default will play from the Gold tees but may play from the White tees by notifying Jack Corcoran at jcorcoran@nysga.org before the entry deadline.
RULES
All play will be governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. Players will be provided a "Notice to Players" rules sheet containing local rules and conditions. The SDGA will provide access to a certified USGA Rules Official to provide rulings and answer questions.

PLAYER LUNCHES
A complimentary lunch is provided to players following each round.
GOLF CARTS
Carts are included in the entry fee. All players must ride
RANGE
Access to the range is provided complements of Beaver Meadows.
AWARDS
Trophies will be awarded to the winner and runner-up of the overall championship. Prizes in the form of pro shop gift certificates will be awarded to the winner and runner-up, and the top finishers in each age division. No player may win more than one prize.
