ENTRY FEE

Championship Entry Fee: $185.00 per player

ELIGIBILITY

Entry is open to any female amateur golfer under the age of 19 as of the date of the final round, who has not started college, maintains a residence in North Carolina or South Carolina, is a member in good standing of a club which is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA) and has a current USGA Handicap Index® at a CGA member club. Entries are subject to rejection at any time, including during the event, by the CGA or the host club.  The reason for rejection may include unbecoming conduct as defined by the CGA Code of Conduct Policy or unauthorized cell phone use during a round. All players must conform to the “USGA Rules of Amateur Status” as specified in the “Rules of Golf”. For complete residency and eligibility requirements, refer to the CGA Tournament Manual.

REGISTRATION

All players must register online at www.carolinasgolf.org. Mail-in applications are not accepted. The CGA is not responsible for errors or delays by any internet service provider.

Confirmation of acceptance is sent to players when their status is determined.  The appropriate entry fee must be paid at time of acceptance into the field. Players who "Did Not Show" (DNS) or "No Card" (NC) are suspended from next year’s championship.

LATE REGISTRATION

After the close of entries, a player may contact the CGA at tournaments@carolinasgolf.org or contact the official in charge to request a late entry. Late entries will be accepted at the discretion of the CGA and only if a spot is available in the field.  Accepted late entries will be charged a $30 late fee in addition to the entry fee of the tournament. The late fee is non-refundable, regardless of participation in the tournament.

REFUND POLICY

Entry fee refund policy schedule:

  • Open Date to THREE Days Prior to Championship or Qualifying Date: Full refund minus $30.00 administrative fee regardless of reason if entry accepted into championship or sectional qualifier.
  • Withdrawals submitted less than three days before the Championship or Qualifying Date: No refund for any reason.
  • No-Shows: No refund for any reason.

 

TRANSPORTATION, CADDIES, & SPECTATORS

Transportation: Players must walk at all times.

Caddies: Caddies are NOT allowed.

Spectators: Spectators are welcome at CGA championships. Spectator cart availability and cost is at the host clubs’ discretion. If allowed, spectator carts must remain on the cart path and out of the way of play.

RULES

USGA Rules of Golf govern play.  Questions will be decided by the on-site Rules Committee whose decision will be final. Notice to Players and local rules are posted at host club and distributed at the starting tee(s). The CGA reserves the right to alter the conditions or schedules as stated, including alteration of the round(s) at any time during the championship. The competition is closed when the championship trophy has been presented. Special requests for starting times or pairings are not granted.

FORMAT

The championship format is 54 holes of stroke play competition.

YARDAGES

All competitors will compete from approximately 6,000 yards.

DIVISIONS

All players will compete in one division. There are no age divisions. 

PRIZES & TIES

Trophies are awarded to the top six players. A tie for the overall championship is decided by an on-course playoff. All other ties will be broken by scorecard playoff.
