PRIOR TO PLAY
- StretchLab will be offering complimentary 15-minute guided stretches before and after play throughout the championship. Pre-round sessions will be available at the driving range, while post-round sessions will take place near the clubhouse/scoring area. All players who participate in a StretchLab session on either day of the championship will be entered into a random draw, with two lucky winners receiving vouchers for complimentary sessions at any participating StretchLab studio
DURING PLAY
- TEED UP will be on Hole #10 both days, providing each player with their preferred flavour of TEED UP Performance Drink
- TEED UP will have an on-course Closest to the Pin competition each day. Players are competing to win $250 cash, a 6-pack of each TEED UP flavour, and a TEED UP branded hat!
FOLLOWING PLAY
- Scoring will be conducted inside the clubhouse in the 19th Room, located beside the restaurant
- The GOLFTEC Super Skins competition will begin at approximately 6:00 PM on Monday following the round and will be played on the back nine
- StretchLab will once again be offering complimentary 15-minute guided stretches following play near the clubhouse/scoring area
- A post-round meal is included following your round on Monday

DIRECT DEPOSIT FOR PURSE PAYOUTS
- All tournament payouts will be disbursed using direct deposit.
- If you have not yet signed up for direct deposit for your tournament winnings, please email Kristine Schmidt or call the office at 905-887-6060 Ext. 223.
- If you have registered for direct deposit with the PGA of Ontario and have recently changed your banking details or mailing address this also applies to you.
CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY
- Cancellation/Refund Policy – No refund will be provided after the tournament/event tee sheet has been released to the players and/or posted on the PGA of Ontario website. Please note this means that regardless of the circumstance, a refund cannot be provided once a player commences play.
- A refund may be provided in the following circumstances:
- A full refund will be provided if a player withdraws from the event due to medical reasons no later than 10:00 AM on the Friday before the event. The refund will be issued once the PGA of Ontario office receives a doctor’s note.
- A full or partial refund will be provided due to extenuating circumstances, at the discretion of the Tournament Committee. The PGA of Ontario Tournament Committee will review all submitted supporting documents to provide a fair and equitable resolution in a timely manner.
- A full refund will be provided if the cancelling player/team finds an eligible* PGA of Ontario member/team to take their place.
- It is the cancelling player’s/team’s responsibility to find an eligible* PGA of Ontario member/team to replace them and notify the PGA of Ontario office no later than 24 hours before the event starts.
- The cancelling player’s/team’s refund will be processed once the replacement player/team has paid their entry fee in full.
- If the cancelling player’s spot is NOT filled 24 hours prior to the event’s start time, a refund will not be issued.

PGA OF ONTARIO PACE OF PLAY POLICY
This policy is in direct response to your feedback, aiming to streamline our events and keep them on schedule. All participants of stroke play events will be responsible for adhering to this policy, which includes associated penalties for delayed play.
By implementing these changes, we aim to enhance the overall experience at our professional events and reaffirm our dedication to member satisfaction. We understand this process may be unfamiliar, but we will now all be accountable as we strive for improvement. Let's work collectively to make our tournaments smoother and more enjoyable for everyone involved.
HOST FACILITY
- Tangle Creek Golf & Country Club - 4730 Sideroad 25, Thornton, ON L0L 2N0 Directions/Map
FORMAT
- 36-hole stroke play. Following Round 1, the field will be cut to the low 60 players plus ties
YARDAGES
- The Ontario Zone Championship will be contested from a maximum of 6,800 yards
- Women can enter the Ontario Zone Championship and compete at 75-85% of the total yardage
PLAYOFFS
- A tie for the Championship will be decided by a hole-by-hole playoff immediately following the conclusion of play. Any competitor involved in a playoff and not immediately available assumes the last playoff position. Multiple no-shows for playoffs shall be decided by lot
PRIZE MONEY – TIES
- In the event of ties, prize money will be divided equally among those tied, except that if a competitor wins a playoff for the Championship, that player will receive first-place prize money
SKINS
- Skins will be conducted using the following guidelines - $20 per round, CASH ONLY
PRACTICE ROUNDS
- Practice rounds will be available with a cart fee only of $25.00 plus HST. Please email Braydon White to book a practice round
DRIVING RANGE
- The Trackman range will be open and balls will be stacked on the range
CARTS AND ON-COURSE EQUIPMENT
- Competitors may walk or make arrangements with the host club for the use of a motorized golf cart
- Carts are not included. Players must adhere to the host facility cart rules
- Cart fee is $25.00 plus HST. If cart availability permits, a single rider booking a cart is responsible for both rider fees
- A two-cart-per-group rule is in effect
WATER ON-COURSE
- There are no water stations on-course, please come prepared. Bottled water will be available on the 1st and 10th tees
CADDIES
- Caddies are welcome and MUST wear a PGA of Ontario bib (provided at registration)
SPECTATORS
- Spectators are welcome. Spectators are required to walk the course.
DRESS CODE
- Competitors must adhere to the PGA of Ontario Dress Code which is also available in the competitor registration package
- **Appropriate footwear must be worn at all times. Open-toed footwear (sandals of any type/flip flop style footwear) will not be permitted into host venue Clubhouse before or upon completion of any Ontario Zone sanctioned round
MEASURING DEVICES
- A player may obtain distance information by using a device that: MEASURES DISTANCE ONLY
- However, if a distance measuring device has additional functionality that can gauge or measure other conditions that might affect a player’s play (e.g. elevation change, wind speed, etc.), the use of any such additional function would be a breach of Rule 4.3a

- List of Conforming Driver Heads: Model Local Rule G-1 is in effect
Penalty for making a stroke with a club in breach of this Local Rule: Disqualification
- Groove and Punch Mark Specifications: Model Local Rule G-2 is in effect
Penalty for making a stroke with a club in breach of this Local Rule: Disqualification
- List of Conforming Golf Balls: Model Local Rule G-3 is in effect
Penalty for making a stroke with a ball in breach of this Local Rule: Disqualification
- Replacing Club that is Broken or Significantly Damaged – Model Local Rule G-9 is in effect

ELECTRONIC AUDIO OR VIDEO DEVICES
- During a round, a player must not listen to or watch content of any nature on a personal audio or video device. Rule 4
- Penalty for Breach of Rule 4.3
- Penalty for first breach from single act or related acts: Two Strokes
- Penalty for second breach unrelated to first breach: Disqualification
TRAVEL
- The PGA of Ontario assumes no responsibility for entrants' travel arrangements. The PGA of Ontario advises entrants not to book travel or room arrangements before confirmation of tournament acceptance unless those arrangements can be cancelled without penalty
TIME OF STARTING
- All players in a group must be present and READY TO PLAY at the time laid down by the Committee. The order of play is not relevant. READY TO PLAY is defined as being on or near the player's first tee accompanied with the necessary equipment needed to put a ball in play. Notification by a PGA of Ontario Rules Official will be given to late starters on the first tee or as soon as practicable
ALCOHOL AND DRUG POLICY
Stroke Play Event Alcohol Policy
- The consumption of alcohol before or during any PGA of Ontario stroke play event or Playing Ability Test is strictly prohibited Violation of this policy is considered conduct unbecoming of a Member of the PGA of Ontario, and swift penalty will be issued by the Tournament Captain and PGA of Ontario office
- Penalties will be issued based on any professional violating Liquor Laws, our Tournament Policy and/or the PGA Code of Professional Conduct and Safe Sport Policy
- The PGA of Ontario will abide by each facility's drug policy
ANTI-DOPING POLICY
- The PGA of Ontario has adopted the Canadian Anti-Doping Program set by Sport Integrity Canada. For further information please visit www.sportintegrity.ca
