The following players are exempt from qualifying for the 92^nd Men’s Public Links

Championship, provided they submit their entry prior to the closing date and meet

all other eligibility criteria:

 

1. NJ Men’s Public Links Champions 2021 – 2025
2. Low five finishers (plus ties) from the 2025 NJ Public Links Championship.
3. The 2025 Bergen County Amateur Champion. (If Eligible)
4. The top three Public Links golfers within the top ten of the NJ Player of the

Year Points List as of the close of entries.

5. The 2026 MGA Public Links Champion. (If Eligible)
6. The low five Public Links finishers in the 2026 NJ Amateur Championship.
7. Public Links players who qualified for the 2025 US Amateur, US Mid-Amateur, US Senior Amateur, and US Junior Amateur Championships.
8. Public Links players who qualify for the 2026 US Open (Sectional), US Amateur, US Mid-Amateur and US Junior Amateur Championships.
9. Special invitee of the NJ Tournament Committee.

 

ELIGIBILITY: 
Entries open to amateur golfers who meet ALL of the following:

-Entrant must possess UNQUESTIONABLE Amateur Status.

-Amateur must NOT hold playing privileges, incidental or otherwise, at any facility which is not open to the general public. (Note: A golfer who appears on the Handicap Roster at a club not open to the general public is ineligible for this championship.)

-Entrant meet ALL of these Handicap and Membership Requirements:

• Hold a USGA Handicap Index of 8.0 or less, as of the close of entries, at a member club/course. They must be listed on this club’s GHIN Handicap Roster.
• Maintain good standing and remain on the above Handicap Roster through the Championship proper.

-If entering from a public facility, or Club Without Real Estate, entrant must be a permanent resident of New Jersey. Proof of residency may be required.

 

CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT: 
The Championship is 36-Holes, Stroke Play. The Champion will be the player with the lowest 36-hole aggregate score. In the event of a tie for the Championship, a hole-by-hole playoff will begin immediately upon the completion of play to determine the winner. The Championship field will consist 40 players including those who are exempt from qualifying, plus those who advance from the three separate one-day, eighteen-hole qualifying rounds (plus ties).

 

Transportation: Permitted throughout this Championship; a player may rent a golf cart at an additional expense.
Caddies: Permitted; a player may bring their own caddie. A player may also carry their own bag.
Pull/Push Carts: Permitted.

 

Prizes: The Daniel Billy Championship Trophy will be presented to the Champion, engraved with their name, and displayed at their home club. Prizes awarded to the runner-up and third place finishers.

 

FINAL DECISION REGARDING ACCEPTANCE OF ENTRIES IS AT THE DISCRETION OF NJ GOLF. THE COMMITTEE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT OR WITHDRAW AN ENTRY AT ANY TIME, BEFORE OR DURING A COMPETITION OR MODIFY THE CHAMPIONSHIP PROGRAM ANYTIME, IN ITS DISCRETION. IF NJ GOLF DETERMINES, IN ITS REASONABLE DISCRETION, THAT AN ENTRANT DOES NOT MEET THE ELIGIBILTY REQUIREMENTS, THE ENTRANT MAY BE DISQUALIFIED, EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER A CHAMPIONSHIP HAS BEEN PLAYED.
