Player Information Sheet

Schedule of Play/Format:

  • 18-holes; Modified Stableford Format. Players will play 9 holes twice. 

 

Rules of Play: The 2023 Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the MASS GOLF HARD CARD. The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the Championship site. It is the player’s responsibility to know the Terms of the Competition.

 

Policies & Procedures: Please refer to the Mass Golf POLICIES & PROCEDURES.

 

Junior Spectator/Parent Policy: Please refer to the Mass Golf JUNIOR SPECTATOR/PARENT POLICY.

 

Caddies, & Push/Pull Carts: The use of caddies is NOT permitted during the Championship Proper. Push/pull carts are permitted, but players must bring and use their own push/pull carts.

 

Starting Times: Can be found on the MASSACHUSETTS YOUNG GOLFERS' AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP home page. Please make sure to be at the starting tee at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time to ensure that all proper instructions are received from the starter.

 

Tees/ Approximate Yardage: Approximate yardage for the Championship Proper will be 5,200 yards.

 

Practice Round Information:

Dates & Times (based on availability) - please note that no additional dates will be available for practice rounds

 

  • Mondays - After 1pm

  • Wednesdays - Before 12pm

  • Thursdays - Anytime (Except on Member-Guest Days)

  • Fridays - Before 1pm

  • Weekends - After 3pm 

 

Notes

  • Parents may walk with competitors

  • Parents may play with competitors for the $25 plus tax trail fee

  • Please call the Tatnuck Country Club Golf Shop at 508-757-0231 in order to schedule a practice round.

    • No walk-up times will be available.

  • There will be a MANDATORY trail fee of $25 plus tax per player for a practice round –CREDIT CARD ONLY

  • Competitors will be limited to one practice round and may be paired up with other Young Golfers' competitors.

  • Only one ball may be played per competitor during their practice round.

  • Practice rounds are players/parents only – no caddies/guests are allowed.

  •  

Practice Facilities: Driving Range will open at 11:30am. 

 

Food & Beverage Services: Mass Golf will provide a complimentary luncheon for all competitors from 11am-1pm..

 

Playoff: Any tie(s) for 1st Place will be decided by a hole-by-hole playoff immediately following the completion of play.

 

Prizes: The Young Golfers’ Amateur Champion will receive a take-home trophy. Merchandise certificates will be awarded to the top finishers. Merchandise certificates are only redeemable at the host site.
