Eligibility Requirements
|
- Kentucky Men’s State Amateur, Women’s State Amateur and Women’s Senior State Amateur: An applicant must be a resident of Kentucky, or a member in good standing with the host club for at least one calendar year prior to the event and possess a current KGA handicap.
- Definition of Kentucky Resident: Is a person who maintains his/her legal place of residence in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. To establish residency for the purpose of KGA eligibility, an applicant MUST meet one of the criteria listed below in subsections 1-4:
- Is a person who meets one of the criteria in paragraphs (a)-(d):
- Has resided in Kentucky for thirty (30) consecutive days immediately preceding the date of the entry deadline of the event; OR
- Holds a Kentucky Driver’s License; OR
- Is registered to vote in Kentucky; OR
- Owns property in Kentucky; OR
- Is a student who physically attended a high school or college in Kentucky at any time during the four months before the date of the entry deadline; OR
- Is a student who graduated from a Kentucky high school and who attends an out-of-state college, but remains a legal dependent of a parent or guardian who meets the Kentucky residency requirement; OR
- Is a member of the military who is based in Kentucky on active duty as of the date of the entry deadline.

- This event is a three-day, 54 hole stroke play championship.
- The field is cut to low 70 and ties after round 2.
- This event is WAGR and TUGR ranked in 2026.

- Morning wave from 8:00 am - 10:00 am off 1 & 10
- Afternoon wave from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm off 1 & 10
- Day 2
- Morning wave from 8:00 am - 10:00 am off 1 & 10
- Afternoon wave from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm off 1 & 10

- To schedule a practice round call the pro shop at (502) 852-8542
- Within 2 weeks of the event: $75, including a cart
- Day Before: Monday, June 15th (official practice round date): Free to walk, $30 cart fee

- Players may pay for a cart if they wish ($30)

2026 Kentucky State Amateur Champion:
- Will receive a direct exemption into the final field for the 2026 U.S. Amateur Championship to be held at Merion Golf Club, Ardmore, PA | August 10-16, 2026
- He will also earn an exemption into final stage qualifying for 2027.
2026 Kentucky State Amateur Champion and Runner-Up:
- Will receive exemption into final stage qualifying for 2027
