2026 Women's Amateur Championships
Agawam Hunt - July 20-24, 2026
Eligibility: Amateur golfers who are RIGA members and have a membership with a RIGA member club or are a Rhode Island resident.
Tournament Format:
July 20-24, 2026 - Agawam Hunt
Qualifying Round: 18 holes - Stroke play to determine match play qualifiers.
In the event of a tie for the 16th place, there will be a sudden death playoff immediately following the completion of the Qualifying Round.
- players pay their own cart fee throughout tournament if they decide to ride.
Divisions:
Julie Green Championship 16 - 16 players Gross
President's Bowl - 16 players Gross
Past President's Bowl - 16 players Gross
Note: if there are less than 48 entrants, the RIGA Committee will determine the number of flights
**Registering for the Women's Amateur also qualifies you for Stroke Play Championship
Monday, July 20 - 18 holes Stroke Play with lunch included
Tuesday, July 21 - Match Play - Round of 16
Wednesday, July 22- Match Play - Quarterfinals
Thursday, July 23- Match Play - Semifinals
Friday, July 24- Match Play - Finals
Qualifying round scores will be posted as a "T" score by the RIGA
There is no handicap maximum, however 36.0 is the highest index a player can use.
Entries - Form, Fee, Closing Date: Entrants are solely responsible for securing and returning completed entry form by the due date. Entries must be received at the RIGA office by July 12, 2026 and be accompanied by the entry fee of $150.00

Practice Rounds: TBD
Cart and Caddie policy: Carts are permissible during play. An entrant is responsible to pay for their own cart fee throughout the tournament. A player may take a caddie or carry their own bag at any stage of the competition.
Dress Code: Proper dress is required at all times. Spikeless shoes are mandatory.
Conditions/Schedules: The RIGA reserves the right to alter any of the conditions and schedules herein. The decision of the RIGA in any matter shall be final.
Important: Entries must be received by July 12, 2026. Completed entry form must be accompanied by entry fee of $150.00 (Made payable to RIGA). If you withdraw from an event before the registration closes there will be a $5 transaction fee. If you withdraw from an event after the registration closes, there will be no refunds given. You may find a substitution and work out payment between each other. No Faxed Entries
