2026 TrackMan Women's Indoor Amateur Championship

Supported by Maine Golf

ELIGIBILITY

The TrackMan Indoor Amateur Championship is open to Maine golfers who have a valid Handicap Index® (which is inclusive of a Maine Golf membership) of no higher than a 16.0 at the time of their submission.

ENTRY INFORMATION

Players must apply for the championship online via Golf Genius at www.mainegolf.org. Entries will not be taken over the phone or on-site. Payments to Maine Golf are for prize pool only; the indoor facility you choose will charge their own rate for sim time. Any issues? Send Joe Piwowarski an email at joe@mainegolf.org

New for 2026 is the elimination of qualifying rounds. Instead, players will select from 4 indoor golf facilities across the state and compete there, assuming they make the cut for entry. Listed below are the championship host sites and their maximum amount of competitors, based on sim availability. For example: if 10 players sign up to compete at Sim City Westbrook, the high 2 Handicap Indexes will be cut from the competition, unless they notate a "backup" facility where they'd get in.

  • Sim City Bangor, Bangor, ME - 8 players
  • Sim City OOB, Old Orchard Beach, ME - 8 players
  • Sim City Westbrook, Westbrook, ME - 8 players
  • The Sand Trap, Auburn, ME - 8 players

Based on availability, the maximum field size is set at 32 players.

ENTRY FEE

The cost of entry for the 2026 TrackMan Indoor Amateur is $30. This covers prize winnings for low finishers and a state-wide long drive contest. Players will be charged for sim time on-site, and this rate varies by location. For more info, contact the participating indoor golf facilities.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

The championship proper will consist of 36-holes of stroke play and will begin at 10:00 am. Host facilities have blocked their bays from 10-6.

Saturday, March 14th, 2026:  First round, 18 holes, 10:00 AM shotgun

Saturday, March 14th, 2026:  Second round, 18 holes, 2:00 PM shotgun

In the event of a tie after 36 holes, the winner will be decided by the USGA tiebreaking method (last nine, last six, last three, last hole). Should the tied players all be playing at the same facility, a sudden death playoff will decide the champion.

PACE OF PLAY

Pace of play is key, even indoors. Each participating site has blocked their sims from 10-6, which should be more than plenty for 18 holes, a quick break for food and drink, then 18 more. Any group not done with 18 holes by 2:00 or 36 holes by 6:00 will be disqualified from competition.

PRIZES

Winner: Crystal Trophy and title of TrackMan Indoor Amateur Champion.

Top finishers: Prize money, determined by finishing position, in the form of a voucher added to the player’s Maine Golf account. Payouts for Gross and Net finishers.

Long drive/CTP winners: Prize money in the form of a voucher added to the player's Maine Golf account.

RULES OF GOLF

All play will be governed by The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA, except as modified by the simulator you are playing. The on-site Rules Committee will have the final authority on all rulings. The competition is deemed to be closed when the trophy is awarded to the champion.

COURSE SETUP/SETTINGS

The first 18 holes will be played at Lofoten Links. The second 18 holes will be played at PGA National.

All 36 holes of competition will be played on the Manual  putting mode with 8 foot gimmes. In lieu of a Max Score setting, players will be able to pick up at any time for a Quadruple Bogey.

Complete course and course setup information coming soon.

Mulligans will be left on, in the rare case of a misread. These occasionally happen, particularly with high clubhead speed tee shots, and can look like a low runner with high topspin. Misuse of mulligans will result in disqualification from the event.

CONDITIONS AND SCHEDULES
