Eligibility:
- Vermont Resident – Any male amateur golfer, as of the day of the tournament, who is a legal resident of Vermont and is a member in good standing, of a member club of the Vermont Golf Association, with an active GHIN handicap issued by that club.
OR
- Non-Vermont Resident – Any male amateur golfer, as of the first day of the tournament, who is not a legal resident of the State of Vermont, but has been a member in good standing of any Vermont Golf Association member club for the past three years, has an active GHIN handicap issued by a Vermont Golf Association member club and has posted a minimum of 10 rounds of golf in the last 12 months outside of the major championships at any VGA member club. *This eligibility requirement affects the major tournaments only, which are the Vermont Amateur, Mid-Amateur and the Senior Amateur Championships. If you are playing in the major championships, your options are to post scores you may have missed from last year or play enough rounds this year to fulfill the requirements by the first day of the tournament. This also includes any players in the Vermont Amateur who are exempt from qualifying.
Format: Individual 72 holes stroke play. Cut to top 40 and ties after 36 holes.

Entry Fee: $175.00. Successful qualifiers will be charged the additional entry fee of $90.00 upon advancing to the Vermont Amateur Championship.
Registration: On-line registration opens March 15, 2026.
Cart Policy: Carts are not mandatory.
Entry Deadline: Entries must be received by the deadline (June 30th at 10:00am). Late entries will NOT be accepted as the number of qualifiers advancing from each qualifying site is dependent on the total number of entries received at the entry deadline.
Practice Rounds: Below are the available times that Ekwanok has for your practice rounds. Please call the golf shop to make your tee time. A cart fee will be required regardless of if you walk or ride. If you would like to reserve an Ekwanok Caddie please let golf shop know ahead of time so you can get all the guidelines and procedures.

Spectator Information | Spectators are welcome! Please observe all club policies and maintain respectful distance from competitors during play.
Dress Code | Traditional golf attire is required at all times. Collared shirts and golf shoes are required; denim is not permitted

Tee Times/Pairings: Tee times will be posted on the event portal as soon as practicable after the close of entries. They will also be emailed out to all participants.
Dress Code: Appropriate golf attire - collared shirts - no denim. If in doubt, please call the pro shop.
Cancellations: Cancellations can be made on line prior to the close of entries and will be refunded in full less a 3% credit card processing fee. After the close of entries and prior to the start of the tournament, entry fees will be refunded less a $25.00 pp cancellation fee but you must contact the VGA office to cancel. No refunds will be given after the start of the tournament.
Conditions/Schedules: The VGA reserves the right to alter any of the conditions and schedules herein. The decision of the VGA in any matter shall be final.
