LADIES DIVISION (George Teale Trophy)
Katie Reid
I was born and raised in Canada where my golf career started at age 11 at the Shelburne Golf and Country Club. I earned myself a Division 1 scholarship to Central Connecticut State University in 2009 where I played 4 consecutive years, earning myself team captain in my senior year. My career highlight was winning the Mount St Mary's Invitational in my final year by shooting 79,73,76. Since graduating my career brought me to the Cayman Islands in 2017 where I have continued to play leisurely for the last 9 years. Recently I was able to take time oP work to play in the Island Championship to help earn me a spot on the Cayman National Team. I am very excited to be back playing competitive golf and quite looking forward to this event at the Royal Blue Golf Club. I am extremely appreciative of CIGA and CGA for this opportunity and hope to represent the Cayman Islands well!
Samantha Widmer
Samantha Widmer is a proud Caymanian golfer who has represented the Cayman Islands since the age of 12. A former NCAA Division I athlete, she is a two-time
Caribbean Amateur Junior Champion, 2010 Caribbean Amateur Championship winner, an eight-time Cayman Islands Ladies Champion, and a two-time Island Games
medalist. She was also selected to the Southern Conference 100th Anniversary Team, cementing her as one of the greatest student-athletes in the history of the SoCon and a defining figure in Elon University’s women’s golf program. She is excited to be back representing the Cayman Islands after returning home from
Hong Kong, where she spent eight years of her career. The tournament holds special memories for her and her family, who have long supported the event alongside Bob Slatter, a member of the CGA Caribbean Golf Hall of Fame.
MEN'S DIVISION (Hoerman Cup)
Andrew Jarvis
Having competed in golf since 2013, I made my tournament debut at the Caribbean Junior Championships that same year. In 2015, I earned my first appearance
representing the Cayman Islands on the men’s national team. Since then, I have represented the Cayman Islands at six Latin America Amateur Championships, with my best finish coming in 2024 when I tied for fourth in Panama. I am also a six-time Cayman Islands Amateur Champion and the current defending champion. I’m proud to once again represent the Cayman Islands and look forward to competing in the Bahamas
Daniel De Quintal
I am 19 years old and I play golf for the Cayman Islands. I started playing golf 5 years ago and fell in love with it very quickly. I now play D2 golf at Glenville State University. I am extremely excited to participate and represent my country at the 2026 CAGC.
Joel Dodson
Joel is the current Cayman Islands Golf Association senior champion. He has represented the Cayman Islands in the Caribbean Amateur on several occasions. He is
extremely excited to represent the Cayman Islands play in this year’s tournament alongside his two kids, Luke and Matthew!
Luke Dodson
This is Luke’s first time representing the Cayman Islands in the Hoermann Cup, having previously competed in the Caribbean Junior Championships. He will be attending Queen’s University in Canada beginning in September. His golfing highlight was competing in the Junior British Open golf tournament in 2024.
Matthew Dodson
This is Matthew’s first time representing the Cayman Islands internationally. He finished 2nd in the Cayman Islands Junior Championship earlier this year. His golfinghighlight was playing golf with Gareth Southgate (former England international football manager) earlier this year.
Payten Wight
I have proudly represented the Cayman Islands for several years, competing in a variety of international tournaments. After taking more than two years away from golf, I am excited to return and once again represent my country at the 2026 Caribbean Amateur Golf Championships.
Kevin Hinton - Coach
Kevin Hinton PGA professional 40 year’s class A National team coach 2021 till present. Developing Caymanian golfers since 2018. Has played with 5 world number 1 ranked golfers.
