In Tar Heel Women's Golf Association there are 13 golf clubs in the league located from Pinehurst to Wilmington. Our Signature LGA pays an annual fee to be a member of Tar Heel, and this opportunity is only available to Signature LGA members. Classic members are not eligible to play in Tar Heel.

 

Here are some other important features of Tar Heel:

• Nine of the 13 golf clubs are in the Top 100 courses in NC (River Landing, MacGregor Downs, Governors Club, Prestonwood CC, Pinehurst 7&9, Pinewild CC, Porters Neck CC, Mid South/Talamore, and CC of Landfall).

 

• Participant cost for one-day events averages $85, which includes lunch, golf, cart, and prizes.

 

• Foursomes are comprised of members of different clubs playing as a team. (NOT an interclub league competition between golf clubs.)

 

• Handicaps can range to a maximum of 32.9.

 

• Seven events are held each year (April – November).

 

• Practice rounds are often offered the day before a one-day event.

 

• Goals of Tar Heel are friendly team competition, making new friendships, and wonderful road trips with other 7&9 LGA members!

 

 

Registration will open when the Host Club sends out the Invitation - 30 Days in advance at 8:00pm. 

 

Registration will close 15 Days in advance of the event at 5:00pm.

 

 

The details about the event including payment options will be included in the Club Invitation and the cover email from the Signature LGA.
