GHINs are required for competitive play in our local weekend chapter special events and posted competitions at the regional and national levels. We are happy to once again offer this service to our members at the same price as last year. Please continue reading for more information. 

 

Cost: $30

 

You may sign up for a GHIN at any point throughout the season.

Once activated, you can access your GHIN account at https://www.ghin.com. You can also download the GHIN app on your smartphone. You will be able to retroactively enter your scores.

 

The Handicap Season runs from April 1 to November 14.

LPGA Ams Lehigh Valley registers GHIN numbers through GAP (Golf Association of Philadelphia), the oldest state/regional association in the country. Your membership also enables you to participate in Member Play Days at various GAP member clubs, as well as GAP tournaments and seminars. 

 

For those of you who wish to compete in LPGA Amateur tournaments and some of our chapter events, you will need a GHIN number to participate. In addition, it is a great way to monitor your scores and your growth over the course of the season. 

 

The Golf Handicap & Information Network® (GHIN) is a service the USGA offers to golf associations worldwide. GHIN is one of the largest handicap management tools in the world, serving more than 2 million golfers and 15,000 golf clubs.  

 

The 8 best Score Differentials of the last 20 scores are used to calculate your handicap. Handicaps keep the game fair for everyone by helping to level out the playing field. This is why tournaments typically require a GHIN number since there are various levels of ability present among players.
