45th Nebraska Women's Amateur Championship

York Country Club will host the 45th Nebraska Women's Amateur Championship, June 26-28. The Championship division will play 54-holes (Wednesday-Friday), the Non-Championship division just 36-holes (Thursday-Friday). Participants in the Non-Championship Division will be flighted prior to the final round based on round one gross score. Awards will be presented to the champion, low senior and Non-Championship flight winners. Merchandise prizes will be awarded to the top third in the Championship Division and top third of each Non-Championship flight. 

 

Included in the entry fee is golf,  cart, use of the practice facility prior to play, a player luncheon on Thursday and awards reception on Friday.
 

ELIGIBILITY: Entrant must be a female amateur golfer with an active USGA Handicap Index® issued by a “member club” of the Nebraska Golf Association. Entrant must also be a member of NWAGA and a “resident” of Nebraska (See below).

An individual is considered to be a resident of Nebraska if they: maintain either a primary or a secondary residence in Nebraska, or are an active duty member of the United States Military stationed in Nebraska, or are a student physically attending college in Nebraska within a time period four-months prior to the event, or are a graduate of a Nebraska high school attending an out-of-state college. If the above criteria are in question, the NWAGA Tournament Committee shall render any final decision.

 

DIVISIONS: The Championship Division will play 54-holes of stroke play competition. This division is comprised of entrants with a Handicap Index of 6.0 or less or anyone that declares Championship. All other entrants comprise the Non-Championship Division. The Non-Championship Division will play 36-holes of stoke play competition with flights created prior to the final round based on first round scores.

 

ENTRY FEE: Entry fee of $155 (Championship)/$120 (Non-Championship) must be paid by every player. Entry fee will be refunded regardless of reason if the NGA or NWAGA is notified (402-505-4653, x103) before the close of entries. After the close of entries, fee will be refunded in the event of a medical condition, if requested before the first day of competition. No refund for any reason after that. A $25 service charge will be deducted from all refunds.

 

ENTRY PERIOD: On-line applications only. Entries open at 8 a.m. CDT on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. Entries must be received no later than 5 p.m. CDT on Wednesday, June 19, 2019. Entries may be accepted after the deadline, if field is not full, at the discretion of NGA/NWAGA. Entries may no longer be accepted once groupings have been announced.

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS: Available at a time convenient to the York Country Club (402-362-3721). Fee is $20 (walking) or $35 (with cart). Please note: certain dates and times may be restricted based on club activity.

 

COURSE SET-UP: Championship Division - 5,597 yards, Par 70; Non-Championship Division - 5,030 yards, Par 74

HANDICAP: Individual Handicap Indexes will be based on the June15 Handicap Revision. Entrants with a Handicap Index of 6.0 or less may only participate in the Championship Division. Entrants with a Handicap Index above 6.0 may either declare Championship or participate in the Non-Championship Division. Round one pairings are determined based on individual Handicaps. The competition within divisions and flights is gross.

 

TIES: In case of a tie for first in the Championship Division and/or Non-Championship Flights, the winner will be determined by playoff.
