Junior Golf Programs at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort

General FAQ


1. Who can participate in junior golf programs?

Our junior programs are open to youth participants within the published age range for each offering. Please refer to the individual program page for age/grade requirements and recommended experience level.


2. How do I know which program is right for my child?

Each program page outlines skill level recommendations and learning objectives. If you are unsure, please contact Jessica McCellan, PGA at 541-347-8465 for a placement recommendation.


3. How are participants grouped?

Participants are grouped by a combination of:

  • Age
  • Experience level
  • On-course ability

Our goal is to create competitive balance and a positive learning environment for all players.


4. How do I register?

Registration is completed online through Golf Genius and is linked on our website here.

Registration for all programs and clinics closes the day before the program or clinic begins, unless the session reaches capacity earlier.

Many offerings fill in advance. Once a program is full:

  • Registration will close automatically but out waitlist will become available
  • Families will be contacted if space becomes available

We encourage early registration to secure a spot.


5. What should participants bring?

All juniors should bring:

  • Golf clubs (labeled with name)
  • Golf shoes (soft spikes only)
    • Any closed toe sneaker will work just fine!
  • Weather-appropriate athletic attire
  • Hat and sunscreen
  • Refillable water bottle

6. What is the dress code?

Junior participants are expected to follow the resort’s golf dress standards, including:

  • While golf apparel is preferred, juniors may come in any school appropriate outfit that allows for movement and exercise
  • Our weather changes quickly so b sure to bring a jacket!
  • Soft-spike golf shoes or closed toe athletic shoes (no metal spikes)

7. What happens in case of inclement weather?

Programs operate rain or shine whenever safely possible. In the event of severe weather:

  • Schedules may be adjusted
  • Safety decisions are made at the discretion of our golf staff

You will be notified with an email via Golf Genius and/or a phone call from your coach if any schedule changes are need.


8. Is food provided?

With the short timeframe of our programs, we do not provide snacks. If you feel your child may need one please pack it with them.

 However, we may compete for some candy bars or cookies!


9. Are parents allowed to watch?

Parents are welcome to observe from designated areas. To promote focus and independence, we ask that parents avoid providing instruction during program hours.

The Practice Center offers a patio as well as Food and Beverage options. You are also welcome to use our resort amenities such as our Hiking Trails, the driving range, or other property restaurants. Resort Maps may be found here.


10. What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations may be made until 12:00pm the day before the program or clinic begins, this will also include a refund of the program fee. Cancelations after the program begins will not be eligible for a refund.


11. What safety protocols are in place?

The safety and well-being of participants is our top priority. All junior programs are supervised by trained golf professionals and staff. Emergency procedures are in place and staff are prepared to respond to medical or safety needs.
