The Carolinas Women's Four-Ball Championship, which began in 1978, is the oldest women's championship founded by the CGA. The Senior Women's Four-Ball Championship began in 2015 and is open to players who have reached their 50th birthday by the start of competition. The championships are conducted at 36 holes of four-ball stroke play and include gross scores only. Teams are flighted within their championship based on the low player's index of the side, depending on the number of entries. Entry is open to any female amateur golfer who is a legal resident of North Carolina or South Carolina, is a member in good standing of a club which is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association and has an active USGA Handicap Index®.
