History of the Mother Daughter/Member Junior Modified Scotch Tournament: The Mother Daughter Tournament originated at Commonwealth Golf Club. Last year's winners were:
Senior Division and Overall: Tracy Welch and Victoria Adams
Junior Division: Maureen Sullivan and Lynn Sullivan
Member Junior: Kerry Dolan and Olivia Jatzcak
Format:
- 18 holes of Modified Scotch format
- Each team member will hit their tee shot, after which the better of the two balls will be played into the hole in alternate shot format.
- Gross and Net Divisions
Handicaps: 60% of lower handicap plus 40% of higher handicap for team handicap as of July 1, 2026.
Tees: All play will be from the Mass Golf Red Tees from ~5,200 yards.
Starting Times: Tee times will start at ~11:00 AM.
Scorecards: Paper scorecards will be provided to all participants for the player’s own notes. All paper scorecards are considered UNOFFICIAL. The official scorecard will be the mobile Golf Genius app scoring. Prior to the tournament, players should download the Golf Genius app. Click HERE for mobile scoring instructions. You will be provided a GGID number on your scorecards and that is the number you type into the app to see your foursome and enter scores.
Practice Areas: The practice green and driving range are located by the clubhouse. The driving range will be accessible before play. Please return carts immediately following the round.
Practice Rounds:
- Available Monday - Thursday anytime, Friday-Sunday after 4:00 PM.
- In order to schedule a practice round YOU MUST CALL the golf shop. No walk-up times will be available.
- Please introduce yourself as a competitor in the Mass Golf Father Son Tournament.

- There will be a MANDATORY cart/trail fee of $40/player for a practice round.
Pace of Play: Pace for this round is 4 hours and 30 minutes. Please ensure that you are keeping within a hole of the group in front of you.
Scoring: At the end of the round all scores must be verified by the team before your team’s designated app scorekeeper and unofficial written scorekeeper reports to the scoring area. Mass Golf staff will verify with the designated scorekeepers that their scores are accurate and will take a verbal yes as a confirmation/signature.
Awards: The Mother Daughter Senior Division, Mother Daughter Junior Division, and the Member Junior each have a permanent trophy that will be engraved with the names of the low gross winners from their respective divisions. The Mother Daughter also has an overall trophy that will be engraved with the names of the low gross winners regardless of division. All ties will be decided by a matching of cards in accordance with USGA® recommended method. Prize Certificates (gross & net places) will be given out and must be redeemed at Cyprian Keyes Golf Club.
Rules of Golf: The USGA® Rules of Golf, Local Rules and Terms of Competitions for Mass Golf Tournaments govern all play.
Mass Golf Policies & Procedures: Please refer to Policies & Procedures and Pace of Play Policy.
Distance-Measuring Devices: Permitted as specified in Mass Golf Policies & Procedures.
Bathrooms: Restrooms are available in the clubhouse, as well as in the snack shack on the course.
Food and Beverage: Complimentary lunch will be available in the clubhouse or in the snack shack. The snack shack will also be open to purchase food and beverages.
DECISIONS BY THE COMMITTEE IN ATTENDANCE ARE FINAL.
