SPECTATOR GUIDELINES
While Hudson National Golf Club wants to be a hospitable host for the USNDP, please keep in mind the Club is in peak season and open for member usage. Please adhere to the policies below and do not pressure staff or members to make exceptions to Club rules.
WALKING CULTURE
Please note that the Club has a strong walking culture among golfers. It should be noted that Hudson National is one of the more difficult walks in golf.
GOLF ATTIRE
Acceptable golf attire must be worn on the premises at all times.
- Acceptable: Golf slacks, skirts, or shorts (must be no more than four inches above the knee).
- Shirts: Men’s shirts must have a collar. Women’s blouses must have either sleeves or a collar.
- Tucked In: Golf shirts must be tucked in on the golf course and in the Clubhouse (including dining areas) at all times.
- Hats: Caps must be worn with the bill facing forward. Hats are not to be worn in indoor dining areas.
- Footwear: Only soft spike golf shoes are permitted. Bare feet, flip-flops, and open-toed shoes are not permitted (except for women’s open-toed shoes).
- Prohibited: Cargo shorts/pants, athletic attire, denim.
WIRELESS DEVICE POLICY
- Voice Calls: Oral communication is permitted only in designated areas: phone booths (1st and 2nd floor), the Hudson House, near landlines in locker rooms, in cottages, or in vehicles.
- Restricted Areas: Voice calls are strictly prohibited in the Great Room, Main Dining area, or on the Terrace.
- Silent Use: Emailing and texting are permissible anywhere provided the device is in silent mode and the phone option is disabled.
- On-Course Use: Oral communication is not permitted on the golf course except for emergencies. Devices may be used for swing data, video, and photography.
FACILITY ACCESS & CADDIE EXCEPTION
- Practice Area: Access to the practice area is not permitted for visiting participants.
- Locker Rooms: Access to the locker rooms is not permitted for visiting participants.
- Caddie Exception: Juniors in the USNDP are permitted to walk and carry their own bags or use a personal push cart.
- Push Carts: Push carts are strictly prohibited on tee boxes or putting greens.
DINING & BILLING
- Dining Locations: Athletes and coaches are permitted to dine in the Great Room and Covered Patio.
- Halfway House: Parents may purchase food and beverages at the Halfway House utilizing their house account.
- Billing: You will be required to provide your account card at the time of billing for all house account transactions.
- Clubhouse Perks: Complimentary coffee is available in the Clubhouse before 11:00 AM.
- Etiquette: Please do not sit at fire pits or dining terrace tables as they are reserved for members. While photos on the Terrace are encouraged, please ask a staff member for the best location to avoid disturbing members.
SPECTAROR GOLF CART

Credential Verification: A valid state-issued disabled placard of medical provider's documentation is required for spectator carts. Carts MUST remain on paths. Please note that not all holes have paths and may not be accessible.
