Friday's matches will consist of 18 holes of Modified Foursomes, also known as Alternate Shot.

Modified Foursomes is a team format in which two partners compete as a side, playing one ball in alternating order throughout each hole. In this modified format, both players will tee off on each hole, the side will select their preferred tee shot, and the partners will then continue playing alternate shots until the ball is holed.

On each hole, partners must:

  • Decide which tee ball the side will use.
  • Alternate strokes until the ball is holed.
  • If a provisional ball is required, it must be played by the partner whose turn it is to play the side’s next stroke.
  • Any penalty strokes incurred by the side do not alter the order of play. For example, if a ball enters a penalty area, the partner whose turn it is to play next will hit the next shot after relief has been taken.
