TERMS OF THE COMPETITION
ELIGIBILITY
This championship is open to all New York State amateur golfers who meet the following requirements:
- Must hold active USGA/GHIN handicap index of 15.0 or less at an NYSGA member club or NYSGA eClub
- Players in the OPEN division must be 14 years old as of June 26, 2026
- Players in the SENIOR division must be 55 years old as of June 26, 2026
- Players in the SUPER SENIOR division must be 65 years old as of June 26, 2026
ENTRIES, DEADLINE, AND REFUND POLICY
- Entries: An entry must be submitted online with payment prior to the deadline. Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.
- Entry Fee: $150. Includes green fees, range balls, prizes, and trophies.
- Deadline: Entries must be received prior to the deadline (Monday, June 22 at 12pm). Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.

Refund Policy: A portion of the entry fee, based on the schedule below, will be refunded regardless of reason if the CRGA is notified (315-471-6979 or mdirkes@nysga.org):

PRIOR TO entry deadline: Entry fee less $20

AFTER entry deadline: Entry fee less $50
- WITHIN 2 DAYS of the competition: No Refund

DIVISIONS, FORMAT, FIELD SIZE AND TIES
- Divisions: Open (all ages 14+), Senior (ages 55+), Super Senior (ages 65+), Women (all ages 14+)

Open Division Format: 54 holes of individual stroke play.
- Cut: The field will be cut after 36 holes to approximately half the field, depending on final field size.
- Senior, Super Senior Format: 36 holes of individual stroke play (no cut).
- Field Size: The field is limited to the first 72 players to apply. After the field limit is reached players will be placed on a waitlist in order of registration.
- Ties: A tie for the winner of any division will be broken with a sudden-death playoff. All other ties will be broken using the USGA recommended method of matching scorecards.

The 2026 Saratoga County Amateur Championship (Open Division) is a WAGR ranked event

CAPITAL REGION MEN'S PLAYER OF THE YEAR
- This is an official counting event for the 2026 Capital Region Men’s Player of the Year
- The top 3 finishers in the Open and Senior divisions will get an automatic invite to the Capital Region Amateur Championship, July 31 - August 2 at Ballston Spa CC.

EXEMPTIONS
The winner in the Open Division will earn an exemption to the 2026 NYS Men's Amateur Championship (Glens Falls CC) and the 2026 NYS Men's Mid-Amateur Championship (CC of Buffalo).

RULES
All play will be governed by the USGA Rules of Golf.
PAIRINGS/TEE TIMES
The CRGA will make every effort to accommodate tee time requests for Round 1 (early/late), which must be submitted no later than 12PM on Sunday, June 21. Pairing requests will not be honored but you may request to be paired near another player for traveling purposes.
GOLF CARTS
The use of a golf cart is approved. The fee per player is payable in the pro shop. The NYSGA's One-Seat Policy is in effect. If only two players are riding, they must take one cart. Either the player or their caddie can ride, never both at the same time regardless of space availability.
CADDIES
Caddies are permitted for this tournament.
RANGE
Included with entry.
PRIZES
Trophies will be awarded to the winner of each division. Gift certificates to the host clubs will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each division.
