ENTRY ELIGIBILY, PROCEDURE & INFORMATION

Championship Division: Entries are open to female amateur golfers who have completed their college eligibility, have reached their 23rd birthday on or before Thursday, October 1st, and have a USGA Handicap Index of 6.0 or less.

Senior Division: Entries are open to female amateur golfers who have reached their 50th birthday on or before Thursday, October 1st and have a USGA Handicap Index of 6.0 or less. (Yardage under 6,000)

 

TOURNAMNENT REGISTRATION:  Registration will be on the www.amateurgolfalliance.org website.  Non-exempt applicants are not guaranteed a spot in the Championship field; applicant entries will be reviewed based on playing experience, competitive success, rankings and merit against those of other applicants.  Non-exempt applicants are encouraged to submit a playing resume (via email to akolb@anerasports.com or other documents to substantiate their competitive history.  All entrants will be notified if they have been assigned a position in the starting field on or before Friday, September 11th. 

 

EXEMPTIONS

All exempt players who meet the criteria outlined below are required to register before Wednesday, July 22nd at 5:00 PM (Central).  Entries received from exempt players after such date will be processed and reviewed with all other entries, including those of non-exempt applicants.

  1. Last five years U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Champions;                                  
  2. Last three years U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Runner-ups;
  3. Last two years U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Semifinalist;
  4. Last year’s U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Quarterfinalists;
  5. Top fifteen in Stroke Play qualifying in 2019 U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur;
  6. Top ten in Stroke Play qualifying in 2018 U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur;
  7. Top fifteen in the Stroke Play qualifying in 2019 U.S. Women’s Amateur;
  8. Top 300 in the R&A/USGA World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR)*;
  9. Amateur Golf Alliance/Host Club Selections (maximum of 6).

*Rankings are considered as of the date of entry being received.

 

FORMAT & FIELD SIZE

The Championship will be contested over 54 holes of Individual Stroke Play, with 18 holes per day.  The field is limited to 72 competitors.

 

ON-SITE CHAMPIONSHIP REGISTRATION

Please follow the signage on-site to registration and temperature screening in your car BEFORE parking.  Players will be given their Tournament Shirt, Hat, Neck Gaiter, Wipes, Hand Sanitizer and Course Accessories at registration.   All competitors must register with AGA staff member prior to the start of the Championship.  Players that do not register may be subject to disqualification.  Official tournament registration will be on Wednesday, September 30th from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at The Dye Preserve Golf Club.  Competitors who are unable to register on the date and time listed must contact AGA Staff Amanda Kolb at (akolb@anerasports.com) in advance of the Championship.

 

OFFICIAL PRACTICE ROUND

Players are limited to one complementary practice round on the designated practice round date, Wednesday, September 30th.  All confirmed competitors must contact the golf shop directly at (561-575-7891) no earlier than Wednesday, September 16th, to schedule a practice round tee time.

  

STARTING TIMES & PAIRINGS

Starting times and pairings for the first and second rounds will be made available no later than Friday, September 25th.   Final Round starting times and pairings will be available in the evening after play online at www.amateurgolfalliance.org in the Tournament Office and Golf Shop, and emailed to players.  Final round starting times will be re-drawn, based on total score.

 

HOST HOTEL

A discounted rate has been established at the following host hotel; players must contact the host hotel directly to make their own reservations:

 

  • Wyndham Grand Jupiter (122 Soundings Avenue, Jupiter, Florida 33477).  Reference the "AGA Women's Golf" as the courtesy room block when making room reservations to get the applicable discount ($120 per night plus tax and fees).  Guest rooms will be held until Friday, August 28th.  To reserve a room, contact the hotel directly at (561-273-6668) or online using the following link:  Reserve Rate Online.

 

TRANSPORTATION & CADDIES

The Championship will be a riding event and carts will be provided for players.

 

CLUBHOUSE FACILITIES

Clubhouse Facilities will be open one hour before the starting tee time each day.  Lunch is provided for the practice round and all three rounds of the Championship; and is included in the entry fee.  Guests may dine with players but will be charged the appropriate cost for the same meal.  Acceptable forms of payment in the clubhouse are cash and card.  All other food and beverage consumed will be at the player’s expense.

 

PRACTICE FACILITIES

Practice Facilities at the host club will be available to all competitors for the duration of the Championship.  The practice facilities will open beginning one hour prior to the first starting time.  Prior to the Championship, the club course, practice areas and clubhouse will be closed to participants unless the guest of a member.

  

POLICIES, PROCEDURES & CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION

The Amateur Golf Alliance Code of Conduct and Dress Code are in effect throughout the Championship.  Violations will be dealt with based on the severity of the misconduct.  All competitors should be familiar with all AGA Conditions of Competitions and Policies.  The Championship will be conducted by the 2020 USGA Rules of Golf, keeping the safety of all involved in consideration.

 

WITHDRAWAL & NO SHOW POLICY          

If you find you cannot compete in the Championship, you must officially withdraw from the event by contacting AGA Staff Amanda Kolb at (akolb@anerasports.com) or (469-458-0806).  If you do not officially withdraw, you may be subject to DISQUALIFICATION from future AGA Championships.  Any player withdrawing prior to Wednesday, August 26th at 5:00 PM Central will receive a full refund, less a $25.00 administrative fee.  Any withdrawals after the entry deadline, will not receive a refund unless a spot is filled by a competitor on the waitlist. If the Championship is cancelled all players will receive a full refund.
