Tournament Format:

The format for this year's event is 1 Best Ball (Gross) added to 1 Best Ball (Net) each hole, each day. You 
must use (2) Two separate balls for the low gross and low net scores. Amateurs will receive 80% of their 
handicaps, with a maximum handicap of 18 allowed for men and 24 for women. Handicaps on the Golf 
Genius Event App will reflect this adjustment.

Team Competitions/Payouts:
Optional Competitions - Team Buy-In
The team buy-in cost is $200 per team or $50 per player. You will be competing for daily prizes for the top 
three (3) overall teams, a Deuces Pot (all 2’s made), along with Gross and Net skins.

Tees:
Our event policy for all players is designed for maximum enjoyment and equality in competition. The BHI 
Patriotic Golf Tournament policy will use the Rule of 72 & 85 for all participants (combined Age +
Handicap Index). All players who calculate for the Rule of 72 will play from one tee forward of the 
Tournament tees, and the Rule of 85 will play from the Forward Tees.

Men - Tees
• Tournament – (Blue) 6400 yds; Rule of 72 – (White) 6000 yds; Rule of 85 – (Gray) 5500 yds
Ladies - Tees
• Tournament – (Teal) 4900 yds

Scoring:
The official scorecard is the Golf Genius (GGID) mobile scoring device given at registration.
