FORMAT:  2-Person Scramble within flights

 

HANDICAPPING: Teams will be broken into flights determined using the low players handicap index on the team as of the registration deadline.  

 

During the actual event, all scoring is done via GROSS (No Handicaps will be used for scoring).

 

 

FIELD SIZE:  60 players 

 

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:  Friday, September 4, 2026 at 5:00 pm

 

YARDAGE:  Projected yardages are posted on the portal.  The yardage is subject to change at the discretion of the AZ GOLF staff.

 

SKINS GAME: There will be an optional $20 team skins game. Players can buy in at registration.

4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. tee times from #1 tee

                                                                                   

PRACTICE ROUNDS:  There will be no discounted Practice Round fee. Practice Rounds may be booked by calling the Grass Clippings golf shop at 480-530-9880.


PAIRINGS: Tournament pairings will be emailed to participants by end of day on Wednesday, September 9.

 

PRACTICE FACILITY:  Will be available one hour prior to play. 

 

 

GOLF CARTS: The use of golf carts is included in the registration fee; however, players are permitted to walk if interested. AZ GOLF Cart policy (maximum of two riders per cart and maximum of three carts per group) will be enforced.  

 

In addition, the following policies will be enforced:

  • Spectator carts are not permitted for insurance reasons, NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Carts are assigned only to contestants.  
  • Restrictions on cart use for players are at the discretion of the Host Site and all players are bound by those requirements, subject to withdrawal for violations of that policy.  Any such restrictions will be posted at the tournament site.
  • Carts must be kept on paths if available near greens and tees.
  • Pull carts are permitted as long as not in conflict with the Host Club rules.

 

WITHDRAW POLICY:  

  • Players who withdraw prior to the close of registration will receive 100% of the entry fee, regardless of reason, minus a $10 administration fee.
  • Players who withdraw after the close of registration will not receive a refund.

PAYOUTS: Prizes will be given to each low gross finishing team in all flights. There will be blind draw door prizes available to all participants.  There will also be proximity prizes for 4 of the holes.
