We welcome you to “The Ross”, Pinehurst Country Club’s annual three day men's member-guest tournament.
The Staff here at Pinehurst Country Club have been working diligently alongside Ross Member-Guest committee chairs Luke Zimmerman and John McDonough to deliver the best possible member and guest tournament experience. ENTRY FEE - $1,350 per team
DEADLINE
Registration will be available online beginning May 8th at 8:00am. The application deadline is May 21st at 5:00pm. Players will be notified on their status in the field on May 22nd.
LOTTERY ENTRY
Teams will be selected by random lottery via Golf Genius (priority to Signature, Premiere, and Classic golf members). Players must register a team, no single entrants. All players will be notified of their status on May 22nd.
Exemption Criteria: Teams under the following criteria will be automatically exempt for the this year's event (EXEMPT TEAMS MUST STILL REGISTER):
Past Five Years Overall Champions (2021-2025)
2025 Flight Champions
REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION
(1) Member number, (2) GHIN, (3) guest’s name, (4) guest GHIN, (5) guest’s home club. On the registration page there will be a check box to identify if you qualify for and intend to play the green tees.
FIELD SIZE
The field will be limited to 144 teams registered for the event (288 players).

PRACTICE ROUNDS
Courses 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6- Cart Fee Only
All other courses will be your applicable Guest of Member Rate.
Practice round tee time information for courses 2, 4, and 5 will be sent at a later date once the field is confirmed.
Please follow normal booking guidelines for all other courses.
FORMAT
Modified Stableford scoring using three different formats. No. 2 will be fourball stroke play (Best ball), No. 4 will be a captain's choice (Scramble), and No. 5 will be the Chapman (Pinehurst) format. The field will consist of 18 flights of 8 two-man teams per flight.
HANDICAP INFORMATION
Current handicap indexes will be used for flighting. The Committee will verify indexes for PCC members & guests with GHIN posting numbers. Guests who do not have a GHIN number will be required to submit their USGA Handicap Index, name of golf club and phone number of club professional who can certify the golfer’s August handicap index. A contestant belonging to more than one club with different USGA indexes at each club must use the lower index. Penalty for any index violations will be disqualification. USGA recommended handicap allowances will be used for each format.
FLIGHTS
Teams will be flighted by combined handicap index (maximum differential of of 8 shots between partners).
For example, if Player A is a 5.3 index, and his partner Player B is a 20.0 index, they will be placed in a flight as as 18.6 combined index. Player B will play the tournament with an initial index of 13.3.
CANCELLATIONS
Entry fees for any cancellations after August 12th will be forfeited. Any refunds, that may be provided for extenuating circumstances and will be handled by the tournament committee on a case by case basis.
TEES
Play will be from the WHITE tees. (Ages 65 & Older may choose to play from the Green Tees)
