Morning Tee Times

 

September 21st – October 3rd

Scheduled foursomes will agree upon & make their own tee time

for the “play on your own” match on the day, time, and course of their choice.

Play for this round may begin 

on September 14th  and must be completed before October 4th

Pairings will be distributed by Friday September 11th.  

 

Sunday, October 4th on Course No. 2

2pm Shotgun Start

 

 

Awards Dinner (cash bar) October 4th

Sign Up

  • Sign up on the Golf Calendar date 09-20-2026.  Click on the Chapman Tournament event and follow the registration instructions.
  • $150 per couple entry fee will be billed to your member account(s)
  • Registration opens at 8am on August 18th and closes at 10pm on September 6th
  • Handicaps will be used throughout the tournament

 

 

Eligibility

  • Play Sunday Couples at least five times between September 14, 2025 and                 September 13th 2026.
  • In the event the tournament is uneven or waitlisted, priority will be given to couples with the most regular plays
  • Players must have an established handicap
  • Field limited to 48 couples - Minimum field for Tournament to be held is 16 couples.

 

 

Prizes, Awards & Tee Gift

  • 1st in each flight
  • Closest-to-the-Pin prizes for men & women on October 4th
  • Door prizes
  • Annual Association Awards
  • Tee Gift

 

 

 

Format

  • Chapman format
    • Both players tee off
    • Hit each other’s tee shots
    • Choose one ball and continue to play alternate shot into the hole
  • All women play from Red tees and all men play from Green tees
  • 4 teams per flight
  • Round robin match play

 

Scoring

  • Each match is worth 18 points
    • 1 point for each hole won and ½ point for each hole tied
  • Matches can end in 9-9 tie
  • Teams tied for first place in their flight at the end of all 3 matches will be subject to the USGA method of Match of Cards to determine flight winner and second place.
  • Ties for second place will split the winnings
  • Following your 2nd match, please deposit your score card in the Sunday Couples locker in the Golf Association Room.

 

Cancellations & Withdrawals

  • Matches may be rescheduled but if a team fails to complete any of its matches before the completion of the final round (or withdraws from competition during a match), the standings in that flight will be determined by the points earned in the head-to-head play of the other teams
  • There will be no points awarded for forfeits
  • A team that has missed any of its matches is encouraged to attend the dinner and will still be eligible for closest-to-the-pin and door prizes
  • Substitutions are permitted; however, the new player’s handicap must be equal to or higher than the original player’s handicap, and the team will still play to the original team handicap
