TEE TIMES: 8:00 am Shotgun Start

 

FORMAT:  Two-person scramble.  Teams are flighted based on the Handicap Index of the low player as of the revision on November 14th.

 

Flight 1: JONES

Flight 2: HOGAN

Flight 3: NELSON

LEGENDS FLIGHT (Ages 65+ as of the Championship Date December 14th)

 

FIELD SIZE:  80 players 

 

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Saturday November 14, 2026 4pm

 

YARDAGE:  Event Yardage is posted under the "Tournament Yardage" tab above.

                                                                                   

ELIGIBILITY:  All players must have amateur status and have an active membership with an AZ GOLF Member Club to participate. Both players must be members of same member club which will be verified prior to the qualifier. Failure to be from the same club will result in forfeiture of your entry fee.

 

QUALIFYING SPOTS: The number of qualifying spots within each flight will be determined based on the number of registrants. Players within the qualifier will be made aware when the player information email is sent one week prior to the qualifier.

 

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP: New in 2026, the Top Male/Male, Male/Female, and Female/Female team from the Club Team Championship (Championship proper) will be invited to compete and represent AZ Golf at the National U.S. Doubles Golf Championship hosted at the Bear's Club the following fall. PRACTICE ROUNDS:  Practice Rounds may be booked by calling the golf shop at (623) 876-3025 and mention that you are playing in the Club Team Qualifier.


PAIRINGS: Tournament pairings will be emailed to participants by end of day on Monday, November 16, 2026.

 

PRACTICE FACILITY:  Will be available one hour prior to play. 

 

CADDIES: Caddies are permitted for the event.  They must agree to walk at all times unless there is an available seat in one of the player’s carts. Caddies riding in a cart MUST NOT displace a player.

 

GOLF CARTS: The use of golf carts is included in the registration fee; however, players are permitted to walk if interested.  AZ GOLF Cart policy (maximum of two riders per cart and maximum of two carts per group) will be enforced.  

 

In addition, the following policies will be enforced:

  • Spectator carts are not permitted for insurance reasons, NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Carts are assigned only to contestants.  A caddie may use a cart only if a contestant is not displaced by such use.
  • Restrictions on cart use for players are at the discretion of the Host Site and all players are bound by those requirements, subject to withdrawal for violations of that policy.  Any such restrictions will be posted at the tournament site.
  • Carts must be kept on paths if available near greens and tees.
  • Any non-player riding with a player is considered a caddie and subject to any potential Rules violations.
  • Pull carts are permitted as long as not in conflict with the Host Club rules.

 

WITHDRAW POLICY:  

  • Players who withdraw prior to the close of registration will receive 100% of the entry fee, regardless of reason, minus a $10 administration fee.
  • Players who withdraw after the close of registration will not receive a refund.
