For our October event, we are returning to The Habitat golf course in southern Brevard County. And we are going to play a forgiving scoring format we haven’t used in a while called The Stableford. Many have probably played it elsewhere, but do you know the history of this scoring system? It was developed by Frank Barney Gorton Stableford (1870–1959), to deter golfers from giving up on their round after just one or two bad holes. The Habitat is one of the prettier courses in Brevard. It is surrounded by the natural Florida landscape with lots of wildlife, and each hole is unique and challenging in its own way. You need to have a handicap to compete because this scoring is done relative to par with net scores. If you do not have a handicap, and want to compete, contact the event coordinator.
We will be playing the GREEN tees. These tees are the most forward tees for the course, and come in at over 4900 yards.

Includes round, cart, and practice balls. Field is limited to 36 players; if we reach the limit, add your name to the waitlist. Please plan to bring $10 exact change cash for prizes.

If you would like to volunteer at this event, note that in your registration- volunteer tasks could include helping at checkin, taking pictures, assisting with scoring, and greeting newer members and helping them meet others. This is our last event for the year for collecting points for the chapter CHIP awards.
