Format:

An 18-hole stipulated rounds of individual stroke play.  Contestants will play from the WHITE USGA Markers wherever they are situated (see Yardage sheet).  The low individual scores will advance to the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship at Flint Hills National Golf Club, Andover, Kan. on July 17-22, 2017.   Any play-offs will take place immediately after the conclusion of play for the last spot and two alternate positions.

 

Competition Schedule:

Starting times will begin at 7:30 AM off of holes #1 and #10.  Please check the NCGA website for groupings and starting times. Please be at your assigned tee at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time.

 

Practice Round Information:

Practice rounds are available by contacting the Yolo Fliers Pro Shop (530) 662-8050 to arrange a tee time. Reservations accepted starting June 8th at 8:00AM.  Please identify yourself as a U.S. Junior Qualifying participant when calling. Green fees: $40 for players after 1 PM on Saturday, June 13th or Sunday June 14th. If a contestant plays with a guest, the guest will also pay a $40 green fee. Arrangements can be made at the discretion of the Pro Shop if contestants cannot play on either of the practice round dates, however, they must pay the $55 green fee. Cart fee during the practice round will be $24 (No carts allowed the day of qualifying).

 

Cart Information:

Automotive transportation is prohibited. Players and caddies must walk. Pull-carts are permitted. SPECTATOR CARTS ARE PROHIBITED.

 

Caddies:

Caddies are permitted for the qualifying; however, no caddies are available at Yolo Fliers Club.  Parents, step-parents and legal guardians are NOT permitted as caddies in the qualifying or Championship proper.

 

Practice Balls:

Provided for players prior to and following competition round at no cost. The practice range will open at 6:30am. The practice putting and chipping greens will open at sunrise.

 

Payment Information:

Cash and Credit Cards are accepted for all purchases (golf shop and food and beverage).

 

Food and Beverage Information:

A box lunch will be available to purchase at the grill spectators and caddies may purchase the lunch throughout the day.  There will be limited other options for food during the round although the bar will be open most of the day for the purchase of beverages also.

 

Withdrawals:

Notify the NCGA at 831-625-4653 to withdraw.  Players that fail to notify the NCGA prior to their starting time will be listed as No Shows.

 

Refunds:

In the event of injury or illness, contact the USGA at 908-234-2400 for refunds.

 

ADDITIONAL RULES INFORMATION

 

Rules Information:

The Rules of Golf effective January 1, 2016 are in effect and are supplemented by the 2017 USGA Hard Card.  The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the qualifying site.  It is the player’s responsibility to know the conditions of the competition.

 

Limitation of Golf Balls:

The optional condition in Appendix I known as the “One Ball” Rule is in effect. See Appendix I.

 

Automotive Transportation:

The use of automotive transportation is prohibited for players and caddies.  See Appendix I.

 

Footwear:

Shoes with traditionally-designed spikes (regardless of composition, i.e., ceramic, plastic, etc.) or spikes, regardless of design, comprised entirely or partially of metal (if such metal may come in contact with the course) are prohibited during the stipulated round.  Penalty for breach of this condition: Disqualification.

 

Distance-Measuring Devices:

Distance-Measuring Devices that measure DISTANCE ONLY are permitted in accordance with the Note to Rule 14-3. See Appendix I-B-9 (pg. 153).

 

Grooves Condition:

Optional condition prescribed in Decision 4-1/1 is in effect.  You may check to see if your grooves are conforming by using the Informational Club Database - http://www.usga.org/InfoClubsDB/intro.html
