Format:

One 18-hole stipulated round of stroke play.  Contestants will play from the WHITE USGA Markers wherever they are situated (see Yardage sheet).  The low individual scores will advance to the U.S. Girl’s Junior Championship at Boone Valley GC in Augusta, MO on July 24-29, 2017. Any play-offs will take place immediately after the conclusion of play for the last spot and two alternate positions.

 

Competition Schedule:

Starting times will start at 8:30am off of holes #1 and #10.Please check the NCGA website for groupings and starting times. Please be at your assigned tee at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time.

 

Practice Round Information:  Fee - $55 walking, $67 with cart.  Available starting June 6th after 1 PM on a space available basis.  Please contact the Pro Shop at the number listed above and identify yourself as a qualifying contestant. NOTE: Sequoyah CC is CLOSED on Monday, June 19th.  Practice rounds and facilities are NOT available on that day. 

 

Cart Information:

Automotive transportation is prohibited. Players and caddies must walk. Pull-carts are permitted. SPECTATOR CARTS ARE PROHIBITED.

 

Caddies:

Caddies are permitted in the qualifying (see also Additional Rules Information below). However, caddies are NOT available from Sequoyah CC.

 

Practice Balls:

Provided for players prior to and following competition round at no cost. The pro shop and practice range will open at 7:00am. The practice putting and chipping greens will open at sunrise.

 

Payment Information:

VISA and Mastercard are accepted for all purchases (golf shop and food and beverage). No CASH will be accepted.

 

Food and Beverage Information:

The Snack Bar will be open at 7:30 AM and throughout the day. No outside food and beverage is permitted.

 

Withdrawals:

Notify the NCGA at 831-625-4653 to withdraw.  Players that fail to notify the NCGA prior to their starting time will be listed as No Shows.

 

Refunds:

In the event of injury or illness, contact the USGA at 908-234-2400 for a refund prior to July 24, 2017. No refunds will be issued after July 24, 2017.  A $10 service charge will be deducted from all refunds.

 

ADDITIONAL RULES INFORMATION

 

Rules Information:

The USGA Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the 2017 USGA Hard Card.  The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the qualifying site.  It is the player’s responsibility to know the conditions of the competition.

 

Caddies:  

A player may not use a parent, step parent, or guardian as a caddie during Sectional Qualifying or the Championship proper. See Appendix I-C-2 (pg. 139).

 

Limitation of Golf Balls:

The optional condition in Appendix I known as the “One Ball” Rule is in effect. See Appendix I.

 

Automotive Transportation:

The use of automotive transportation is prohibited for players and caddies.  See Appendix I-C-8 (pg. 142).

 

Footwear:

Shoes with traditionally-designed spikes (regardless of composition, i.e., ceramic, plastic, etc.) or spikes, regardless of design, comprised entirely or partially of metal (if such metal may come in contact with the course) are prohibited during the stipulated round.  Penalty for breach of this condition: Disqualification.

 

Distance-Measuring Devices:

Optional Local Rule permitting the use of distance-measuring devices that measure distance only is in effect.  See Appendix I-B-9 (pg. 136).

 

Grooves Condition:

Optional condition prescribed in Decision 4-1/1 is in effect.  You may check to see if your grooves are conforming by using the Informational Club Database - http://www.usga.org/InfoClubsDB/intro.html
