Format:

One 18-hole stipulated round of individual stroke play. All play will be from the WHITE USGA Tee Markers wherever they are situated (see Yardages). The low 10 individual scores will advance to the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship at San Diego Country Club in Chula Vista, California on August 7-13, 2017. Any play-offs will take place immediately after the conclusion of play for the last spot and two alternate positions.

 

Competition Schedule:

Starting times will start at 8:00am off of Hole #1 and Hole #10. See the Pairings and Starting Times tab for starting times. Please be at your assigned tee at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time.

 

Practice Round Information:

Players should call the Cameron Park Country Club Golf Shop at 530-672-9840 to arrange a practice round time. Practice round rates are $40 inclusive of range balls; golf cart rental is optional at $16 per rider. Players should identify themselves as participants in the U.S. Women's Amateur Qualifying when making their practice round time.

 

Cart Information:

Automotive transportation is prohibited. Players and caddies must walk. Pull-carts are permitted, but are not available through Cameron Park Country Club. SPECTATOR CARTS ARE PROHIBITED.

 

Caddies:

Caddies are permitted, however, they are not available from Cameron Park Country Club.

 

Practice Balls:

Provided for players prior to competition round at no cost. The practice range and putting green will open at 6:30am.

 

Payment Information:

Cash, Credit Cards, and Reciprocal Club Charge are the methods of payment accepted for all purchases (golf shop and food and beverage) at Cameron Park Country Club.

 

Food and Beverage Information:

The downstairs deli/snack bar will open at 8:00am. The main restaurant will not be open and breakfast items will not be available from the downstairs deli/snack bar.

 

Withdrawals:

Notify the NCGA at 831-625-4653 to withdraw. Players that fail to notify the NCGA prior to their starting time will be listed as No Shows.

 

Refunds:

In the event of injury or illness, contact the USGA at 908-234-2300 for a refund prior to August 7, 2017. No refunds will be issued after August 7, 2017. A $35 service charge will be deducted from all refunds.

 

ADDITIONAL RULES INFORMATION

 

Rules Information:

The Rules of Golf effective January 1, 2016 are in effect and are supplemented by the 2017 USGA Hard Card. The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the qualifying site. Limitation of Golf Balls:

The optional condition in Appendix I known as the “One Ball” Rule is in effect. See Appendix I.

 

Automotive Transportation:

The use of automotive transportation is prohibited for players and caddies. See Appendix I.

 

Footwear:

Shoes with traditionally-designed spikes (regardless of composition, i.e., ceramic, plastic, etc.) or spikes, regardless of design, comprised entirely or partially of metal (if such metal may come in contact with the course) are prohibited during the stipulated round. Penalty for breach of this condition: Disqualification.

 

Distance-Measuring Devices:

In Sectional qualifying and in the Championship proper, a player may obtain distance information by use of a distance-measuring device. If, during a stipulated

round, a player uses a distance-measuring device to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., elevation changes, wind speed, etc.), the

player is in breach of Rule 14-3.

 

Grooves Condition:

Optional condition prescribed in Decision 4-1/1 is in effect. You may check to see if your grooves are conforming by using the Informational Club Database - http://www.usga.org/InfoClubsDB/intro.html
