Governor’s Trophy

 

Date: Thursday Sep 3rd, Friday Sep 4th and Saturday Sep 5th 

 

Format: Match play, 90% handicap five nine-hole matches.  Teams will be flighted according to team index.  27 holes on Friday and 18 holes on Saturday plus the shootout.  The top team in each flight will participate in the Shootout, to be held on #9 North immediately following Round 5 on Saturday afternoon.  Family and friends are welcome and encouraged to attend the Shootout.  Handicaps will be pulled approximately a week before the tournament starts to allow the Professional Staff time to prepare flights.  Please note; the entire event will be played with the same index.

 

Pairings: Select your own partner or request Professional Staff assistance.

 

Eligibility: Open to all TPF participants.  A maximum field of 96 teams (16 flights).

 

Registration: 

  1. April 4, 2020: Registration opens for priority membership classes (“A”, “J”, “SR”, “SR+”, “L”)
  2. April 10, 2020:  Blind draw for priority class registrants if necessary.
  3. April 11, 2020: Registration opens for all other membership classes.
  4. April 17, 2020: Blind draw for all other member registrants.

      Note: Members who purchased Canoe Brook sleeping rooms during the auction          at the 2019 Governor’s Trophy will automatically be admitted to the field (up to 8          members).  The prior year shoot-out winner will automatically be admitted to the

      field (1 team).

 

Pace of Play Expectation: Matches should be completed within 2 hours and 30 minutes.

 

Prizes: Selected prizes for Overall Champions, flight winners and closest to the pins.

 

Cost: $350 per person includes food, beverages, prizes, service charges and tax.  All “C” members will be charged green fees, but not against weekend quota.  All “NR” members will be charged green fees.

 

Champions Dinner: Thursday Sep 3rd at 6pm on back patio.  Country Club casual attire.

 

Starting Time:  Tee times beginning at 7:30 Friday, 8:30am shotgun Saturday.
