Welcome Address

From The President Of
The Trinidad & TobagoGolf Association

For The 30th Caribbean Amatuer Junior Golf Championships 2017

The game of golf remains alive and well in Trinidad & Tobago despite the economically challenging times both here and indeed among our friends and neighbours in the Caribbean.

The CAJGC 2017 is being hosted at the St. Andrews Golf Course once again, and we thank St. Andrews for their generous cooperation in making the tournament possible and for the course being in excellent condition. Once again, Republic Bank Limited has demonstrated their vision and leadership in youth development by their generous cash contribution toward the staging of the tournament, and we thank them sincerely. We also thank the SPORT Company of Trinidad & Tobago whose generous contribution also helped to defray costs for participants. The game of golf still remains a strong medium for the development of positive attributes among youth and also for developing long-lasting relationships among competitors from diverse backgrounds.

I hope that during the tournament, the efforts of your parents, coaches and national associations will be evident in the quality of play and by your demonstration of the positive qualities and camaraderie which the game promotes.

We thank all the volunteers who have given freely of their time and effort to make this event successful. We are also thankful to officers of the CGA and its President, Mr. Asraph Ali for their efforts in coordinating this event.

On behalf of the members of the Board, the Executive and members of the TTGA, we welcome all the participants and supporters to this playing o the CAJGC from July 3-6, 2017

We wish you all the best of luck, and hope that you enjoy your stay.
