Trinidad & Tobago Junior Golfers finish 2nd in the 2017 Caribbean Amateur Junior Golf Championships.

 


Trinidad & Tobago Junior Golfers led by Sachin Kumar winner of the boys 18 & under and Yeji Lee winner of the girls 15 & under divisions finished second to the strength in depth of the Puerto Rican team. Trinidad & Tobago beat the Dominican Republic who finished 3rd by one point.
Sachin Kumar won the James Moss-Soloman Trophy as the 18 & under boys individual winner. In the girls 18 & under Valeria Pacheco of Puerto Rico won the Peter Hale Trophy as the top performer. 


Trinidad & Tobago’s Yeji Lee won the Kenneth N. Francis trophy as the girls 15 & under division champion, Andres Aranguran of Puerto Rico won the Arturo Pellerano Trophy as the boys 15 & under champion


In the girls 13 & Under Brooke Rivers of the Turks & Caicos Islands emerged as the champion to win the John Fitzgerald trophy. In the boys 13 & under division Gustavo Rangel of Puerto Rico won the Arturo Pellerano Trophy.


Sachin Kumar by repeating as the 18 & under champion wins the right to play in the Duke of York tournament in England in September. Puerto Rico won the right to represent the Caribbean in the Toyota world junior championships
